Microcurrent Face & Body Bioenergy Gloves
Ultratones new technology Bioenergy Gloves provide all Ultratone systems
therapists with a new, highly versatile tool, which can maximise results and offer a
whole new range of treatments in one simple operation.
A new soothing and energising treatment has been devised using Ultratones
specially adapted Biostimulation impulses, to further enhance treatment results and
help penetrate the nourishing and rejuvenating effects of high performing creams
and gels. The well-being massage created by the Bioenergy Gloves along with the
micro impulses delivered in automatically sequenced phases, will provide the dual
action of electroporation (facilitating product penetration) and microcurrent
stimulation for Lipolysis & Toning preparation along with enhancing skin
rejuvenation, wrinkle & stretch mark reduction, microcirculation and detox
Programs.

lifting the gloves off the
body, ensure the stimulation
bioptic lights are off.

very mild tingling sensation.
The stimulation will be

extremely mild at all
times, with only a barely
perceptible tingling felt
under the Bioenergy
Gloves. Sometimes even
this tingling sensation
will disappear. This is
completely normal as the
impulse is a gentle
microcurrent.

that the microcurrent will
work without any sensation
being felt by the customer.

Face Treatment
Step by Step:

Ensure the Futura Pro is fully

connectors at each end. Insert
the blue plug into the blue
socket and the white plug into
the white socket on the rear
panel of the Futura Pro console.
3.
With the customer, go over their

treatment requirements and
together complete a copy of the
Ultratone Customer Data Form
(page 27).
4.
Have a selection of creams and

gels ready to be used before
and after the Bioenergy Glove
treatment.
5.
Recline the customer on the

couch. Cleanse their face and
apply the appropriate cream or
gel.

Forehead - 5 minutes
Attach the white lead to the right glove.

Attach the purple lead to the left glove.
(Ensure a generous amount of the appropriate gel or cream
has been lightly massaged into the face beforehand.)
Place the finger tips of right hand in positions shown above:

the thumb as No. 1; the index finger No. 2; middle finger No. 3; ring
finger No.4; little finger No. 5. Repeat for the left hand, mirroring
the right hand positions. Slide the fingers slowly upward, to the
hairline, slightly pulling on the skin.
Only use the Microcurrent outputs when treating the face and neck.

COMBINING ULTRATONE BIOENERGY GLOVE PROCEDURE WITH BIOSTIMULATION

You may also combine the Bioenergy Glove treatment with Face or Body Biostimulation. This maximises efficiency and
results as you are effectively giving multiple treatments in one session.
FACE BIOSTIMULATION COMBINED WITH BODY BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT
For Face Biostimulation combined with Body Bioenergy Glove treatment simply select Face & Body Biostimulation from
the treatment menu. Then follow the Bioenergy Glove Step by Step on page 5 until Step No. 22, selecting the appropriate
Bioenergy Program. After pressing Start move on to the Facial Biostimulation Program and follow the Futura Pro on screen
instructions until you have pressed Start for the Facial Biostimulation Program. Then follow the remaining Bioenergy Glove
instructions. You will find that you will usually finish both the Facial Biostimulation Program and the Bioenergy Glove
Treatment at the same time.
BODY BIOSTIMULATION COMBINED WITH FACE BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT
For Body Biostimulation combined with Face Bioenergy Gloves select Face & Body Biostimulation from the menu. Then
select the desired Body Program and treatment area depending on the customers needs. Once the Body Biostimulation
has begun, select the MAINTENANCE /GLOVE Program from the Facial menu. Continue as indicated in the Step by Step
procedures for the Bioenergy Gloves as described in the previous section.
MULTIBODY BIOSTIMULATION COMBINED WITH BODY BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT
For Body Biostimulation combined with Bioenergy Gloves select Multibody from the menu then select the areas you wish
to treat. One of these areas will be dedicated to the Bioenergy Glove treatment, as required:

COMBINING ULTRATONE BIOENERGY GLOVE PROCEDURE WITH BIOSTIMULATION

MULTIBODY BIOSTIMULATION COMBINED WITH BODY BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT (continued)
Remember the area you have decided to dedicate to the Bioenergy Glove treatment, the other areas will be dedicated to
normal Ultratone Biostimulation and you will pad up as instructed on the Futura Pro Screen.
Then follow the instructions as indicated in the Bioenergy Glove Step by Step, attaching the Microleads to the first Bioptic
lead which flashes for the area that you have dedicated to the Bioenergy Glove treatment.
Remember that the Bioenergy Glove treatment will usually finish before the Biostimulation so it will have to be manually
timed.
ADVANCED BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENTS

You may also follow a more advanced procedure where stationary pads are combined with the Bioenergy Gloves. This
allows you to treat two areas at the same time using one Bioenergy Glove per area.
In this case, select two Bioptic leads, then attach one purple Microlead to each negative Bioptic lead and a self adhesive
pad to each positive Bioptic lead.
See the following pages for the positions and procedures.

CONTRA INDICATIONS, PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
Reduce the treatment intensity if pain, discomfort or unexpected sensations are experienced. Stop if the symptoms persist.
Keep the Ultratone equipment out of the reach of children.
Do not smoke while having Futura Pro sessions.
Although the client may drink water while having an Ultratone session it is best not to eat as the vigorous nature of the
exercise could cause indigestion.
Ultratone should not be used during an activity in which involuntary muscle contraction may be hazardous.
Pre-pubescent young people should not use Ultratone unless medically advised.
PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRA INDICATIONS
Ultratone treatments are suitable for most healthy people but the equipment should not be used:
On a person who does not comprehend the therapists instructions/questions.
With cardiac pacemakers.
When epilepsy or similar condition is suspected or diagnosed.
When cancer is known to be present, unless medically advised.
When pain is undiagnosed.
When muscle contraction may disrupt the healing process.
When normal exercise is not advised.
In cardiac cases, on the upper torso (e.g. upper abdomen, chest, arms or back).
Where there is any medical condition unless medically advised.
Where there are vascular abnormalities including DVT, phlebitis and arterial disease unless medically advised.
Where clients may suffer an allergic response to the Bioenergy Gloves.
Where a dermatological condition exists unless medically advised.
Application of strong stimulation with Bioenergy Gloves or Biostimulation pads on the upper thorax may increase the risk of
cardiac fibrillation.
Operation in close proximity (<1m) to shortwave or microwave therapy equipment may produce output instability.

CONTRA INDICATIONS, PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS continued
BODY AREAS TO AVOID:
Over the carotid artery (neck).
Over the carotid sinuses.
On genitals.
On or near the eyes.
Over a pregnant uterus (where the foetus is over 6 weeks old).
Over protruding moles and varicose vein knobbly areas.
Over an open wound, unless medically advised.
Near the upper thorax.
WARNINGS
Keep the Bioenergy Gloves and all equipment free from water and other fluids during treatment.
The Bioenergy Gloves must not be used without first putting on the rubber gloves.
Care must be taken to maintain a low level of stimulation below that which causes discomfort or pain to the client.
Do not use Body stimulation on the face.
Apply only as indicated in the instructions for use.
Use only Ultratone approved output leads connected to Ultratone approved Bioenergy Gloves.
The power adaptor must be disconnected.
Simultaneous connection of the client to High Frequency surgical equipment may result in burns at the site of the stimulator
electrodes and possible damage to Ultratone equipment.
Rubber gloves may contain latex. Do not use in the case of suspected or confirmed latex allergy.
Replace rubber gloves at the first sign of holes, wear, tears or abrasion.
Under certain electro-magnetic conditions, for example in very close proximity to some types of mobile telephone, portable
and mobile RF communications equipment, the Ultratone Futura Pro may reset to safe start mode. Should this occur, turn
the equipment off, relocate and restart as normal. It is also possible that the Ultratone Futura Pro may cause interference to
other sensitive equipment operating close by. If any effects are noticed then turn the equipment off, relocate and restart.

WHAT CAN I DO IF THE BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE?

If the Bioenergy Glove treatment feels uncomfortable, it is usually because the intensity is turned up too high.
Remember the sensation should be a hardly perceptible tingle.

CAN YOU OVERDO THIS TREATMENT?

Ultratone has carefully regulated outputs so that no undesired side effects can occur if the instructions are
respected. One treatment a day lasting up to 60 minutes can be given, more stimulation will not be useful.
Q-
SHOULD A BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT BE GIVEN BEFORE OR AFTER A BIOSTIMULATION OR

ULTRASOUND TREATMENT?
A Bioenergy Glove treatment should generally be given before a Biostimulation treatment for fat or cellulite
reduction preparation and after an Ultrasound or Biostimulation treatment for massage, toning, muscle
exercise, detox or rehabilitation treatments.

CAN A BIOENERGY GLOVE TREATMENT BE GIVEN IN THE SAME SESSION AS AN ULTRASOUND OR

BIOSTIMULATION TREATMENT?
Yes. Remember that the total treatment time should not exceed 2 hours, beyond this time the results will no
longer improve so it is a waste of the therapists and customers time.
IS THERE ANY AGE BARRIER TO USING ULTRATONE BIOENERGY GLOVES?
Ultratones Bioenergy Gloves can be used on adults of all ages. It is best to wait until after puberty for body
shaping stimulation, unless a medical practitioner feels that Ultratone Biostimulation is advisable.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

BIOENERGY GLOVES
The Bioenergy Gloves can be hand washed at low temperatures (30C) in a soap solution. For hygiene it is best to use an antibacterial hand wash liquid soap between customers. Rinse the glove thoroughly after washing, wring out excess water by hand
and allow to dry naturally. Do not place on a radiator or in a dryer. Allow the Gloves to dry fully once every 12 hours.
Eventually the Bioenergy Gloves will lose their conductivity and need replacing. If it is noticed that the intensity needs to be turned
up far higher than usual this means the Bioenergy Gloves probably need replacing or that the microlead connectors do not have
adequate contact. It is recommended that the Bioenergy Gloves are inspected regularly and replaced as soon as any visible
deterioration is seen.
RUBBER GLOVES
The insulating rubber gloves should be whole and without holes, tears, wear or abrasion in order to maintain isolation from the
Bioenergy Gloves. If they become damaged then replace with Ultratone approved rubber gloves.
MICROLEADS
Eventually the metal tips of the microleads will become worn and need replacing when they start falling off the Gloves during
treatment. A spare set has been included so that you may continue giving treatments with the replacement microleads. Order a
new set of microleads from your Ultratone distributor as soon as the first set is no longer functioning, so that you always have
functioning set ready for use.
