ENTRY REGULATIONS:
Maximum film age is 5 years. No repeat entries. Send entries in DVD mailers or bubble wrap
envelopes. Note: please DO NOT use fiber filled envelopes or oversized boxes when sending
entries, as they can cause serious damage to DVD discs. Entries that we receive that have been
damaged or otherwise compromised in this way may be rejected from entry. Only finalists are
notified in advance that their work has been selected to be part of the Festival.
ENTRY FORMAT:
Please send a screening copy of the film in DVD, playable on standard DVD players (not a data
disk with a file of the movie). The disk must be NTSC, but please check the disk before sending
it. Mark case and DVD with title, length, year, and makers name.

CATEGORY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

NARRATIVE, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATION AND MUSIC VIDEO:
Films must be short films of 20 minutes or less.
If applicable, music must be licensed or original.
Films must be from New Jersey Filmmakers.
REQUIRED ENCLOSURES: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST ACCOMPANY

SELECTION:

Film selection for the Festival will be made by the Festival Committee.
The entrant will be responsible for ALL SHIPPING FEES.
All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance.
NJTCFF cannot be held liable for DVDs which may be lost or damaged.
LIABILITY: Filmmaker shall indemnify and hold The North Jersey Tri-County Film Festival,
BrandaoFilms, the West Hudson Arts & Theater Company and their agents and representatives
harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses
(including but not limited to attorneys fees and costs of the court) which may be incurred by
reason of any claim in connection with the film involving copyright, trademark, credits,
publicity, screening, and/or loss of or damage to the screening videos submitted. In particular,
Filmmaker expressly warrants it has obtained all necessary copyright clearances for original
works of authorship used in the Film.
REPRODUCTION AGREEMENT: Submission of an entry gives the festival permission to
have accepted work exhibited, photographed, locally telecast, and reproduced either in part of
whole, for exhibition, educational or publicity purposes.
