in this Swimming Event and to enjoy an annual friendly meet.
We hereby enclose the details of SWIMFEST 2014 for your information. Please refer to the

Eligibility
Swimmers are ELIGIBLE to join SWIMFEST 2014 if the swimmer does NOT:
i.
Qualified for 3rd Leg Sport Excel Junior Swimming Circuit.
ii.
Joined National Age Group Swimming Championship
iii. Joined the state swimming team
iv.
Joined competition/s that are state level and above.

Mission:
To encourage young and new swimmers to join the Aquatics Sports.
Objectives:
1. To boost up the interest for young & new swimmers.
2. To provide bridge for young talented swimmers to exchange idea and knowledge about
swimming between swimmers.
3. To create a stage for young swimmers to perform before participate in greater and more
competitive swimmings events in the future.
4. An opportunity to allow youngster to gain an experience and self-exposure.

APPENDIX 1
Games
a) Underwater Game: Treasure Hunt(Participants: Group 1/ Group 2) Individual
The participants are required to search for THE GOLD in the Treasure Box within a required
timeframe. There will be 30 Treasure Boxes but only 20 will be containing GOLDEN STONE.
REWARD: THE DIVER can sell the GOLDEN STONE to THE ORGANIZER according to
the size of GOLD

Small-RM30
Medium-RM60
Big-RM80.

THE RULES: All boxes will be place at the bottom of pool, THE DIVER will be given a color
ball from the starting point. THE DIVER need to swim from the starting point with the color ball
then dive underwater to pick up a Box. Only ONE box is allowed to pick up per time. Once a
treasure box is picked, they are required to swim to the other end of the pool and place the ball
into a basket provided then THE DIVER is allowed to swim back to their starting point. The box
can only be open in THE DIVERS OWN starting point area to look for GOLDEN STONE.
Benefit: Train for competitive mind and self-performance to get reward.
b) Finding Coins - Luck upon your side
(Participant: Group 3/ Group 4) Individual
Both real and fake coins will be mixed and scattered at the shallow pool. The participants are
then allowed to collect these coins as much as they can within a required timeframe. All the
coins that are collected must be successfully put into their own Treasure Hunt pouch.
THE RULES: Goggles are not allow
Benefit: Train for competitive mind and self-performance to get reward immediately.
c) Tug of War Timeframe of a song
(Participant: Open) Group
10 persons will be separated in one team to play Tug of War at the shallow water. A song with
duration of 3 to 4 mins will be played and every 20 sec to 30 sec the last person of each of the
team will be rotated to the front line and it will goes on and on until the song ends to identify the
winner of tug of war.
Benefit: Team work, Strength and Confidence.

RULES & REGULATION

1 .The organizing committees reserve the right to reject any incomplete entry form.
2. The decision made by the organizing committee or referee shall be FINAL.
3. Entrance fees will be FORFEITED if the participant is withdrawn from the competition.
4. All events will be officiated and regulated in accordance to the rules & regulations established by
AMATEUR SWIMMING UNION OF MALAYSIA (ASUM)
5. Payment made in CASH only.
6. Every event that the participant participates MUST be registered.
7. Relay team will be RANDOMLY selected for those individually register.
8. Relay registration by club must be ADMINISTRATION by the club person -in-charged.
9. Closing date for registration is on 19th OCT 2014.
10. All participants must be register at 7.30am on 23rd November 2014.
11. Cancellation of event will be made if there are LESS than 3 participants.
