it should just determine how content is structured.

Hexadecimal colors
A popular way to choose colors in CSS is to use hexadecimal numbers.
CSS
p {!
color: red;!
color: #FF0000;!
red
color: black;!
color: #000000;!
black
color: yellow;!
color: #FFFF00;!
yellow
equivalents.
Hexadecimal colors
Each hex color is actually three dierent parts.
#FFFF00
first!two!numbers!set!the!
amount!of!red
last!two!set!blue
next!two!set!green
#FFFF00
This color is maximum red, maximum green, and no blue.
Thats equivalent to the color Yellow
76
(decimal)
(7 x 10)
(6 x 1)
76
(hexadecimal)
(7 x 16)
(6 x 1)
FF
(hexadecimal)
(F x 16)
(F x 1)
????
A = 10
B = 11
C = 12
D = 13
FF
(15 x 16)
E = 14
F = 15
(15 x 1)
Add them together, and you get 240 + 15, or 255 decimal
#7403AB
Red:
(7 x 16) + (4 x 1) = 116
Green:
Blue:
(0 x 16) + (3 x 1) = 3
This color is some red, almost no green, and more blue than red.
Thats a color that looks Purple
#FF00B3
Red:
Green:
Blue:
(0 x 16) + (0 x 1) = 0
This color is lots of red, no green, and a little less blue than red.
Thats a color that looks Hot Pink

1. Content area
The content area contains your actual content (text,
images, etc.)
Magic Cake
The content area will only take up as much
vertical space as it needs to display the
content inside.
2. Padding
Padding is added to the top, right, bottom, or left of the content area.
