consultants come from Universities after reading a variety of subjects; however they are all people looking for a challenging and
rewarding job in an environment that will support and develop them through their graduate learning path and career.

Why recruitment?
Recruitment is a career that offers you a chance to run your own business within a business. Of course there is a structure to how
our consultants work, but individuals are responsible for the strategy of building and looking after their client base. Within your
first year you will develop your skills for generating business, pitching, specialist sector knowledge, interviewing and assessing
candidates. Throughout this period you will be responsible for a set of clients; you and your manager work together to develop a
strategy for maintaining and developing business with them. Your strategy will typically include phone calls, speculative CVs, mailshots, meetings and research.
Many graduates see recruitment as a strong career choice because it directly rewards diligence and conscientious working the
rewards of your hard work you see directly as your client portfolio grows. Few other career choices give such immediate feedback
for success.

Why Venn Group?


Venn Group was established in 2001 by Alexander Badenoch, Deirdra Moynihan and Philip Hanna. Having all previously worked
together at a large recruitment company, they identified a gap in the market for a team-based consultancy exclusively to serve
temporary recruitment and to cover all sectors with a range of professional skill sets.
In 12 years the company has grown dramatically from 5 to 300 employees commercial proof of the way we work. We have
strong core values that include looking after our staff and ensuring that we grow by developing talent within the company.
Our management team have all worked their way up starting as consultants. They understand from first-hand experience the
importance of teamwork, and the value of sustaining long-term personal contact with clients and candidates.
We dont do status. Everyone, including the Chairman, works in an open-plan setting. Directors sit alongside their consultants and
administrators. Everyone is approachable, our ethos supports an open-door approach where we are all open to feedback, advice
and support. Thanks to that and because we are an entrepreneurial, privately owned business, we can take business decisions fast
to make the most of market opportunities.

What do we do?
Here at Venn Group we focus exclusively on contract and interim appointments, which means we are the experts in placing professionals in fixed-term roles. As the UKs only company dedicated to providing contract interim staff to organisations in both the
private and public sectors, we have built a reputation of quality and professionalism amongst the clients we work with and the

The Graduate Programme


When you join Venn Group as a Recruitment Consultant you will start on our Graduate Development Programme. The first 12
weeks will see you embark on a combination of training and mentoring at the desk from your Manager and Director as well as
formal training delivered by our in house training team.
From the end of your first three months onwards you will be invited to a series of two-day workshops designed to give you the key
skills and techniques needed to further your career. With specialisms ranging from accounting and finance through to Legal and IT,
you will receive the training you need to become an expert in your own area.
Training at Venn Group is a continuous process. From your second year and onwards, higher-level training helps to reinforce and
develop your sales and management skills.

Graduate Package
Your entry salary is a comparable to other graduate schemes and after 3 months you will enter onto a percentage of our competitive commission scheme.
Our unique commission scheme reflects a combination of team and individual effort. Unlike in other organisations, by three
months we will guarantee your entry to a percentage of this commission as by then you will have reached the benchmarks required
(our structured training programme keeps constant track of your progress and gives you the support you need).
