Hadith on Muslim women.

Ms. Dalia Mogahed who advices US President on Islam and US policies with respect to
Islamic world said in a Britsh television program, "Sharia is not well understood and Islam as
a faith is not well understood. Most Muslim women worldwide associate Sharia with gender
justice." (full version here). There is enough on this blog, presented from Islamic sources,
pointing to other direction. The best way to learn Islam is to read from Koran and Hadith
rather than listening to some one, who may not always be honest. In this regard, I present
some hadith on what prophet said about women in this post and I will be adding more hadith
in the future. I presented these hadith earlier in a post but I felt these need a separate post
for
the
purpose
of
future
references.
Hadith on Women
1. Allah's Apostle said, "If at all there is bad omen, it is in the horse, the woman, and the
house." (Sahih, Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 32)
2. The Prophet said, "After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than
women." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 33)
3. Allah's Apostle said, "The woman is like a rib; if you try to straighten her, she will
break. So if you want to get benefit from her, do so while she still has some
crookedness." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 113)
4. The Prophet said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt
(trouble) his neighbor. And I advise you to take care of the women, for they are
created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try
to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I urge you
to take care of the women." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 114)
5. The Prophet said, "A woman should not fast (optional fasts) except with her
husband's permission if he is at home (staying with her)." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7,
Book 62, Number 120)
6. The Prophet said, "If a man Invites his wife to sleep with him and she refuses to come
to him, then the angels send their curses on her till morning." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume
7, Book 62, Number 121)
7. The Prophet said, "If a woman spends the night deserting her husband's bed (does
not sleep with him), then the angels send their curses on her till she comes back (to
her husband)." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 122)
8. The Prophet said, "I looked at Paradise and saw that the majority of its residents were
the poor; and I looked at the (Hell) Fire and saw that the majority of its residents were
women." (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 126)
9. The Prophet disliked that one should go to one's family at night (on returning from a
journey). (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 170)
10. The Prophet said, "If you enter (your town) at night (after coming from a journey), do
not enter upon your family till the woman whose husband was absent (from the

house) shaves her pubic hair and the woman with unkempt hair, combs her hair"
Allah's Apostle further said, "(O Jabir!) Seek to have offspring, seek to have
offspring!" (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 173)
11. The Prophet said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The
women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind."
(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 48, Number 826)
12. The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were
women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are
they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are
ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have
always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you
(not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you." (Sahih
Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 28)
13. Once Allahs Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o Id-al-Adha or AlFitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, O women! Give alms, as I have
seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women). They asked,
Why is it so, O Allahs Apostle ? He replied, You curse frequently and are
ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence
and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.
The women asked, O Allahs Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and
religion? He said, Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one
man? They replied in the affirmative. He said, This is the deficiency in her
intelligence. Isnt it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?
The women replied in the affirmative. He said, This is the deficiency in her religion.
(Sahih Bukhari Vol1 Book 6 #301)
14. Rifa'a divorced his wife whereupon 'AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married
her. 'Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her
(Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating).
It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah's Apostle came, 'Aisha
said, "I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look!
Her skin is greener than her clothes!" ...... Allah's Apostle said, to her, "If that is your
intention, then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifa'a unless AbdurRahman has had sexual intercourse with you."....... (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book
72, Number 715)
15. A wife must not seek divorce from her husband without a serious cause. If she does,
she will not enter paradise. If she can prove her case, she will be awarded decree
only if she returns all that her husband had bestowed on her as an entitlement or
outright gift. A woman who seeks Khula, cannot expect settlement! (Ibn-e-Majah, vol.
1, page 571)
16. Woman has a religious duty to produce the maximum number of children;:" The
Prophet said "Getting married is my basic doctrine. Who so does not follow my
example, is not my follower. Marry, so that I can claim preference over other
communities (Jews and Christians) owing to commanding a greater number of
followers." (Ibn-e-Majah, Vol. 1, page 518 and 523, SUNAN)
17. "If women comply with your commands, do not molest them listen carefully, they
have a right over you that you take care of their food and wear." (Ibn-e-Majh, Vol. 1, p
519)

18. "If I were to order someone to prostrate before other than God, I would have
commanded woman to prostrate before her husband. If a husband tells his wife to
keep carrying a load of stones from that red mountain to that black mountain, she
must obey him whole heartedly. "(Ibn-e-Majah, Vol. 1, ch. 592, p 520)
19. The Prophet said: "When wife vexes her husband, then houris of paradise utter curses
on her saying, 'may God destroy you because he is with you only for a short time; he
will shortly leave you to come to us.' (Ibn-e-Majah, Vol. 1, p 560)
20. " ..... women had become bold with their men, and so the Prophet authorised beating
them. As a result seventy women, during one evening, gathered at the residence of
the Prophet to complain ruefully against their husbands, who they thought, were not
good people." (Ibn-e-Majah, Vol. 1, p 553)
21. The Prophet said: "When a woman dies, if her husband was pleased with her, she
goes to paradise. (Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p 102)
22. The Prophet said: "On the Day of Judgement, a husband shall not be questioned for
beating his wife." (Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p 105)
23. The Prophet said: "When a man calls his wife to bed and she refuses and he is
angered, then angels keep cursing her all night. even the Master of Sky (God) is
annoyed with her until husband is reconciled with her." (Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p
100)
24. The Prophet said, "A woman's evidence carries half the weight of that of a man. it is
owing to lack of wisdom on their part. However, they are also injurious to the dignity
of faith and cannot be allowed to say prayer during the period of menstruation or
observe fasting." (Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 1, p 19)
25. The Prophet said, "Beware of women because the calamity that the Israelite suffered
was caused by women." (Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p 70)
26. The Prophet said, "Misfortune is a part of womanhood, residence and horse."
(Mishkat_al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p 70)
27. The Prophet said: "No woman should perform a marriage ceremony of another
woman or her own because such a woman is the true seducer." (Mishkat, Vol. 2, p 78)
28. If a woman refuses to come to bed when invited by her husband, she becomes a
target of the curses of angels. Exactly the same happens if she deserts her husband's
bed. (Bokhari, Vol. 7, p 93)
29. A woman in many ways is deprived of the possession of her own body. Even her milk
belongs to her husband. (Bokhari, Vol. 7, p 27)
30. "Again, if a man is in a mood to have sexual intercourse, the wife must come
immediately even if she is baking bread at a communal oven (Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 428)
31. The Prophet declared from the pulpit at Hajj, a wife must not spend anything
belonging to her husband without his permission, and this prohibition equally applied
to buying foodstuff. (Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 265)

32. The Prophet unintentionally looked at a woman and was aroused. He went home and
had intercourse with Zainab (one of his pretty wives). He said, Woman faces you as
Devil. If you are affected by her charm, have intercourse with your wife because she
has the same thing as the woman who affected you. (Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 428)
33. The Prophet said, Woman has been created from a rib which is twisted. If you try to
straighten it, you will break it. It is desirable to make the best use of it as it is.
(Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 440)
34. Prophet said, The woman whose husband remains happy at night, and every night,
she will be admitted into paradise. (Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 4 28)
35. The Prophet said that he had not left for man any calamity which could hurt him
except woman. (Tirmzi, Vol. 2, p 286)
36. A woman is not a believer if she undertakes a journey which may last three days or
longer, unless she is accompanied by her husband, son, father or brother. ( Tirmzi, p
431)
37. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: A
woman, an ass and a dog disrupt the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle
guards against that. (Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Number 1034)
38. 'Urwa b. Zubair reported: 'A'isha asked: What disrupts the prayer? We said: The
woman and the ass. Upon this she remarked: Is the woman an ugly animal? I lay in
front of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) like the bier of a corpse and
he said prayer.(Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Number 1037)
39. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat
his wife. (Abu Dawood, Book 11, Number 2142)
40. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: If one of you marries a woman or buys a
slave, he should say: "O Allah, I ask Thee for the good in her, and in the disposition
Thou hast given her; I take refuge in Thee from the evil in her, and in the disposition
Thou hast given her." When he buys a camel, he should take hold of the top of its
hump and say the same kind of thing. (Abu Dawood, Book 11, Number 2155)
41. A man came to the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and said: I have found a woman of
rank and beauty, but she does not give birth to children. Should I marry her? He said:
No. He came again to him, but he prohibited him. He came to him third time, and he
(the Prophet) said: Marry women who are loving and very prolific, for I shall
outnumber the peoples (People of other religions) by you. (Abu Dawood, Book 11,
Number 2045)
42. Mu'awiyah asked: Apostle of Allah, what is the right of the wife of one of us over him?
He replied: That you should give her food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe
yourself, do not strike her on the face, do not revile her or separate yourself from her
except in the house. (Abu Dawood, Book 11, Number 2137)

Assalaamu Alaykum ww, may the Peace and Mercy of Allah (swt) be to all of us. It's a
great job by the author of this page to do a very good service to our women in order

to save them from dangerous torments from Allah (swt) but Men must also have in
mind that a woman has her rights within the boundary of Islam. Men have to know
the best of ways to treat a women well. If he does not do his rights properly, he can't
force her to the bed only to fulfill his lust taking those hadith for granted. He must
also fear the dangerous torments that Allah has kept for him if he does anything
unjust for her. The Prophet (saw) said once "the best of you (men) are those who are
best to their wives". The husband can earn good names in the community or the the
family, but it will not be worth in the sight of Allah if he does not earn a good name
from his wife aswell. Same goes to women. Islam has kept all rules balanced to both
husband and wives. For more about. Husband wife bonds, go to youtube and search

Oh Muslims! Remember there are people has two face and say we are with you and
turn away from you then say in their heart that they were lying. They try to misguide
people by creating lies and misunderstanding in the heart of others. Remember not
all Hadith u hear is saheeh or correct. It is said in the Hadith,
"The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies, when he promises he
breaks his promise and when he is entrusted he betrays the trust." (Bukhari and
Muslim)
Plus! The sahabs, when they hear a lie from a person and later he tells Hadith, they
won't believe him. So don't be tricked by the wicked. Don't blindly follow anyone, who
claim to have knowledge. The best way to seek knowledge is from studying, with
teachers and explanation. Some of this Hadith are not saheeh. And I WARN YOU! This
person who is the owner of this blog is against Islam. Asalamualykum to u all and
may Allah guides all, including this person.

Anonymous, why don't you give us evidence of which hadith is fabricated and which
is weak and which is taken out of context. You keep complaining about the author
without
providing
any
evidence.
In general I will say this. Our life is nothing but a test from Allah. At each and every
step we are being tested. Men are tested in a different way and women are tested in
a different way. Some tests are common to both men and women, like prayers,
fasting, zakat etc. Some tests are easy while some are extremely difficult. The reward
will commensurate with the difficulty of the test. For a woman, marriage is a test to
see if she obeys Allah. Husband is just a means for testing. Similarly parents are a
test for children. As far as I know, Allah has not prescribed any punishment for
mother ill treating her son. But there are severe punishments for the son if he
mistreats
her
mother
despite
her
mother
ill
treating
him.
And finally, regarding the tug of war between kid and anonymous how about we all
agree to this: May the curse of Allah be on the intentional liar.

SOME OF THE HADITH ABOVE ARE DISTORTED AND NOT NARRATED AS A

WHOLE,
ALL OF THEM ARE OUT OF CONTEXT:
Correction of 2:
Riyad as Saliheen (chapter 35)
Usama ibn Zayd reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
said,
"I have not left after me any temptation more harmful to men than women." [Agreed
upon]
Explanation to 1
It was the practice of the pre-Islamic Arabs to believe in superstitions and consult the
flight pattern of birds (augury) as an attempt to check for a good or bad omen. Islam
negated this belief and practice, as this and other hadith show.
The hadith is simply saying that while bad omens are not true, houses, spouses [not
women as is mistranslated] and riding mounts [read: ones means of transport] are
the things of this world that people most often attach bad omens to.
3. EXPLANATION
Certainly We created man(meaning humankind) in the best make. (Alteen :4)
The Prophet (pbuh) said ......she will not be straight according to your way......
emphasis on your meaning what the man thinks is straight.
The Prophet (pbuh) only pointed out that from a man's point of view, a woman is
BENT" or not STRAIGHTt . Similarly, from a woman's point of view, a man is also
not STRAIGHT.
The point is that a woman thinks and behaves differently than a man - it's in her
nature. So the Prophet is telling men to not try to change her inherent nature, but to
understand the differences and enjoy her as she is. The husband should respect her
unique feminine nature and accept her the way Allah made her, complete with the
crookedness that means that she will not be as he wishes in some aspects. If he
insists on straightening her and molding her to his wishes, it will be like trying to
straighten a bent rib: it will break in his hands, and the breaking of a woman is
divorce.
In the same way should we read and interpret the next additional statement given by
the Holy Prophet : and the most crooked part of a rib [ woman ] is its upper part
[ head ]. This saying refers to the fact that the upper part [ head ] of a woman is
most misunderstood by men [ or most in contrast to their male nature ] . In other
words a woman is misunderstood by her husband the most in regards to the way she
thinks, perceives things and emotionally reacts under various circumstances. She is
most not as HE wishes her to be in respect to these things [ since HE does not
understand the way she thinks ].
The husband should realize that although a woman looks crooked from his point of
view, she was made perfect and from Allahs point of view there is no crookedness
in her nature
For this reason men should respect their unique feminine nature and treat women
well and with kindness.

14. and 20. Islam does not allow wife beating

Noble Verses and Sayings about the prohibition of wife beating:
The following Noble Verses and Sayings from the Noble Quran and Prophet
Muhammad peace be upon him respectively seem to very well support the above
interpretation:
"...Do not retain them (i.e., your wives) to harm them...(The Noble Quran, 2:231)
"If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no blame on them
if they arrange an amicable settlement between themselves; and such settlement is
best; even though men's souls are swayed by greed. But if ye do good and practise
self-restraint, God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. (The Noble Quran, 4:128)
Narrated Mu'awiyah al-Qushayri: "I went to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him)
and asked him: What do you say (command) about our wives? He replied: Give them
food what you have for yourself, and clothe them by which you clothe yourself, and
do not beat them, and do not revile them.
(Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2139)
Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah: "I said: Apostle of Allah, how should we approach
our wives and how should we leave them? He replied: Approach your tilth when or
how you will, give her (your wife) food when you take food, clothe when you clothe
yourself, do not revile her face, and do not beat her.
(Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 11, Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah), Number 2138)
"on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike
to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and God brings about through it a great
deal of good. (The Noble Quran, 4:19)
Riyad as Saliheen, chapter 34, treating women well Nr. 279. Iyas ibn 'Abdullah ibn
Abi Dhubab reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, said, "Do not beat the female slaves of Allah." Then 'Umar came to the
Prophet and said, "The women have become bold towards their husbands," and so he
made an allowance to beat them. Then many women surrounded the family of the
Messenger of Allah to complain about their husbands. The Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The people of the household of
Muhammad have surrounded by many women who are complaining about their
husbands. Those men are not among the best of you."
Another authentic version in Sahih Ibn Hibban (9:491) adds that the Prophet then
revoked the dispensation.
Also the prophet did never beat any of his wives

Explanation to 12.
To start with, the Hadith does not say that most women are in hell. It says that the
majority of hell dwellers are women, which simply signifies that more women fail in

this worldly test than men. Then the Prophet, peace be upon him, points out their
failure, which is not based on denying God. Rather, it is denying kindness, particularly
in marital situations. The Prophet, peace be upon him, has pointed this out in more
than one Hadith, warning women against grumbling and frequent complaints. He is
also warning them here against denying kindness by their husbands, highlighting a
failing that is often expressed in denying past kindness.
The Hadith shows that women can easily avoid such a destiny by being fair and
appreciative of kindness. They should always be grateful to God for what He has
given them and also be appreciative of any kindness done to them by others,
particularly those with whom they live, be they their husbands, parents or other
relative.
Equality of Women in Islam
Allah Almighty and prophet Muhammad praised the good women, let us look at the
following quotes from our Islamic sources:
"For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and
women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant,
for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in
Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women
who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in God's praise, for them has God prepared forgiveness and great reward. (The Noble Quran, 33:35)"
"The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is
just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practise regular charity,
and obey God and His Apostle. On them will God pour His mercy: for God is Exalted in
power, Wise. (The Noble Quran, 9:71)"
Here we clearly see that also a women can protect a men in religion by forbidding
what is evil and enjoining what is just, this clearly proofs that in islam woman are not
inferior to men (neither in religion or in intelligence).
"And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be
lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another:
Those who have left their homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in
My Cause, or fought or been slain,- verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities,
and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the
presence of God, and from His presence is the best of rewards." (The Noble Quran,
3:195)"
"O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye
treat them with harshness, that ye may take away part of the dower [my note:
money given by the husband to the wife for the marriage contract] ye have given
them, except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live
with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be
that ye dislike a thing, and God brings about through it a great deal of good. (The
Noble Quran, 4:19)"
Notice how Allah Almighty used the word "great" in Noble Verse 4:19. When Allah
Almighty said "and God brings about through a great deal of good" in Noble Verse
4:19, He really meant it! There is a GREAT DEAL OF GOOD in the righteous women in
Islam, and Allah Almighty wouldn't use the word "great" for something that is really a
big deal. This clearly proofs how Islam honours women and that the hadith in
question doesnt discrace women at all. The prophet (saw) only mentioned the
sinnfull women who were the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire.

CLARIFICATION to 24
The Prophet (SAAWS) has explained what he says of shortage of deen (faith) which is
different from the anti islamic interpretation or translation of deen.
He says, you are less commended to practice the deen, because of menstruation.
When he talks about lack of intellect, he does not talk about potential of brain or
capacity of talent or skill. A woman is overloaded by being a mother or a babysitter
or pregnant. All these carriers are around the clock, because of what she is, she is
always likely to forget more than a man who is devoted to one career only. Allah is
merciful, he forgives her and makes it easy for her when she is not fully responsible
to give a full testimony as a witness. Nothing of that is defaming a woman, there is
not a law that discriminates a woman to put her down.
Source: Footnote: fatwa by Mufi Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Hanooti at islamonline.com
Extra :
Wed like to cite the following Fatwa (about this hadith) issued by the late Muslim
scholar, Sheikh `Abdul-`Aziz Ibn Baz, the former Mufti of Saudi Arabia:
The Prophet, peace be and blessings upon him, explained that womens mental
deficiency is reflected in their weak memory, the fact that makes Shari`ah stipulate
that a womans testimony must be corroborated by another woman. Thus, this
injunction does not imply womans inferiority to man; rather it has more to do with
justice than to gender.
As for the shortcoming in religion, this stems from the fact that when menstruating or
having post- partum bleeding, women neither pray nor fast, and they do not have to
make up for their prayers.
As we know, women have no hand in the obstacles that disrupt their religious
performances. This is something divine, which reflects Almighty Allahs overflowing
mercy on them, for it will be extremely hard for a woman to be tasked with religious
obligation while she is having menstruation or post-partum bleeding. Thats why she
is exempted from fasting or praying, as a sign of mercy on her. Also, they do not
make up their prayers. This is because if they were ordered to make up their prayers,
it would be extremely hard for them, given that prayers are performed five times a
day. Menses may last for a number of days, up to seven or eight or more. Postpartum bleeding lasts for forty days. Itd be definitely hard for women to be obliged
to make up the prayers missed while responding to the demands of nature.
So, in the light of the above-mentioned facts, the Hadith does not have any indication
of looking down upon women or considering them as inferior, especially when we
know that some women excel men in many matters.
Yes, no one can deny the fact that a woman may perform many good deeds and
exceed many men in virtue, morality, etc. Islamic history abounds with examples of
great women who have made great contribution to the progress of mankind. This is
very clear to anyone who is well informed about the status of women during the time
of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the early generations.
In addition, the Hadith in question does not disqualify women from being narrators of
Hadiths, and there is nothing that prevents a woman from being one of Allahs pious
servants, if she is steadfast in her religion even with her being excused from fasting
or praying during menstruation or post-partum bleeding

Finally notice how the prophet also in a funny way spoke about the defficiency of a
men:
'Three things are counted inadequacies in a man. Firstly, meeting someone he would
like to get to know, and taking leave of him before learning his name and his family.
Secondly, rebuffing the generosity that another shows to him. And thirdly, going to
his wife and having intercourse with her before talking to her and gaining her
intimacy, satisfying his need from her before she has satisfied her need from him."

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
EXPLANATION OF 6
This Hadith indicates that it is unlawful (haram) for the wife to refuse her husband for
sexual intimacy without a VALID REASON. (Sharh Sahih Muslim, P. 1084)
However, this does not in any way mean that the husband may force himself over her
for sexual gratification. The Hadith mentions that,
the husband spends the night in anger or being displeased,
which clearly shows that he must restrain himself from forcing himself over her. Had
this not been the case, the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace)
would have advised the husband to gain his right in a forceful manner.
Similarly, it should be remembered here that, the wife must obey her husband in his
request for sexual intimacy unless she has a valid reason. She must obey him as
long as she does not have to forego her own rights. As such, if the wife is
ill, fears physical harm or she is emotionally drained, etc; she will not be
obliged to comply with her husband's request for sexual intimacy. Rather,
the husband would be required to show her consideration.
