Results and Discussion

Table 1.0 shows the quantity and variety of objects in
each subplots of the quadrat. Each of the objects
represents different species. The variety of objects is
a representational of the diversity of species which
may be present and observed if actual sampling
method is done in a terrestrial environment.

With these results, the

quadrat method was
able to quantify 1028

The overall measurement of the area where the

sampling was conducted was found to be 290.0 cm.
Objects were expected to transect the yarn (in every
2.5cm) in order to be counted. Species quantified in
this method was way lower compared to the quadrat
method, since transect method measures a lower
surface area. 83 rice, 24 monggo beans, 2 white
beans, 10 red beans, 1 five cents, 1 one peso coin,
and 2 five peso coins, were quantified using the
transect method. Again the rice was dominant, but the
rarest were the 1 peso and 5 peso coins.
