Introduction
Dyslexia is a learning difficulty in reading, and also in writing, it is one of the most
common learning difficulty. This complication gives the affected person problems in
processing sounds of different speech and how the person looks, sees or visualize the
words written or if in the process of reading. The word dyslexia came from the words:
dys, meaning difficulty; and lexia, meaning words, reading and language.
Causes of Dyslexia
Dyslexia is not a problem in the eyes, but in the brain. Dyslexia is caused by low
brain activity, especially in the left hemisphere known as to where the ability called
Phonological Processing or the skill used in assembling and disassembling words with
each of the sounds of the letters in the word. Also, it is caused by the using of the
different parts of the brain instead of using the left hemisphere which is what unaffected
people particularly use, thus causing the affected person difficulty to separate the letters
of the word into each of its sound and vice versa.
Effects in Reading
Due to the lower activity of the brain, the person affected by dyslexia would have
a hard time to separate each letters of the word, giving each its sound, and again
combining it to complete the word. There are also problems in how the person sees the
words or the sentence, some of these are like not having the right space between each
word and letters in the word.
Example:
Even sometimes all the words and the letters in the sentence are all compresed
together, or sometimes having letters in the word in a different arrangement.

Effects in Writing
A person affected by dyslexia also gets problems in writhing, just like in reading.
They may be able to write, but would have a very hard time in doing so. The usual
mistakes being made are like writing words in different letters to complete the word or
having some letters missed out.
Example:
Normal writing
Words
Was
Waz
Affected people may be able to write well but would take up a lot of time in doing so.
Finding a Cure
As far as of today, there are no possible cure for dyslexia. But affected people
may still attain success or reach the climax of their life by creating their own way to
process the words to be said, read, or to be heard, by using the different parts of their
brain.
Conclusion
Dyslexia is a disorder in the brain that causes the affected person the difficulty to
learn how to read or write. There may be no cure for it, but the person affected by
dyslexia can overcome it, but may take a lot of time in learning how to. It is possible by
creating ways to use the different parts of the brain to process the words said or read
