HOLIDAYS
Thailand
HOLIDAYS.CO.UK
Welcome...
Lurking in the depths of Thailand's numerous fishing lakes
and rivers lay some of the biggest freshwater fish found
anywhere in the world.
Thailand remains a well kept secret as a popular
fishing destination but has a great deal to offer and
we guarantee that those who make the trip will have
the time of their life.
The great benefit that Thailand can offer is that the key fishing
venues can be easily combined with wonderful beach resorts to
give a great holiday experience for all concerned. There is
plenty to offer non-anglers on all of our selected itineraries.
We have worked closely with our agents in Thailand to provide
a number of hand-picked itineraries that we believe will offer
the best fishing/holiday experience for the UK market. Our
team have visited each of the fishing venues on offer and have
first hand knowledge of all areas of the country.

Fishing Guides
To get the best results, fishing in Thailand can
require many methods and techniques that may
not be familiar to the Western Angler.
That is why all our tours include the services of an experienced
local guide that will be on hand throughout the trip to offer
advice and assistance where required. The local Guide will
assist you as much or as little as you require and is there to
ensure you get the most out of your Thai fishing experience.

Where to fish...
Bangkok
Bungsamran
Quite possibly the most unique fishery on the planet. This amazing fishing venue currently holds 10 IGFA
world records yet is tucked away down a very inconspicuous and sleepy soi, away from the hustle and
bustle of Central Bangkok. When you first roll up to the entrance of this fishing paradise you could be
forgiven for wondering whether you have found the right place since it is so unassuming. But as you walk
through the covered walkway entrance, collect your bait and wander out onto the decked walkways that
follow the perimeter of the lake, you are presented with a Shangri-La type vision, although hard to describe
this venue as pretty, it has a rustic quaintness that will grow on you as the day passes.
Target SpeciesGiant Mekong Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Pacu, Arapaima
Schooner Park
Schooner fishing park is around 40 minutes from central Bangkok. The venue offers anglers an opportunity
to target the major catfish species - Striped Catfish and Mekong Catfish with fish up to 60kg/120lb. The
lake is around 4 acres in size, and has comfortable grass banks from which to fish. On a good day an angler
can expect to bag up on 20 fish or more at this resort in a day and hence it offers an action packed
introduction to the Thai Fishing Scene.
Target Species Mekong Catfish & Stripped catfish
Krabi
Gillhams (Krabi) Fishing Resort
Set in the surrounds of a National Park with beautifully landscaped banks and enormous limestone karsts set as
the backdrop, the scenery is amongst the most breath-taking most anglers would have encountered. This
resort is home to many of Thailand's largest freshwater specimens, with Arapaima to well over 360lb, Mekong
Catfish over 270lb, Giant Siamese Carp touching 160lb as well as the world record size Pacu, Redtail Catfish
and more. In total there are some 23 species of fish, many of which are now reaching world record size
proportions. This resort also boasts the most comfortable air conditioned bungalows you could wish for, with
breathtaking balcony views across the lake and surrounding parkland.
Target Species Arapaima, Amazon Redtail, Chao Praya Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Giant Mekong
Catfish.

IT Lake Monsters
Lake Monsters (or Predator Lake) built its reputation on its large Arapaima. Although these are no longer present,
one thing Lake Monsters has continued to produce huge bags of Amazon species. It's not unusual to take 7 or 8
species in a day here and up to 30 fish per angler. This resort continues producing the goods for anglers in Thailand,
with bags of up to 400kg of exotic fish in a single day possible. Lake Monsters is the perfect destination for those
who want to try something different than to Bungsamran or Thailand's more conventional fishing parks. The size,
shape and setting of the venue makes it very reminiscent of some English or European lakes although the iconic
Palm Trees and monsters lurking beneath the surface provide a clear reminder you are in Thailand. Lake Monsters
makes a great days fishing for anyone looking for action on light to medium tackle, from unusual and exotic
species, it is certainly one of Thailand's fishing gems.
Target Species Arapaima, Amazon Redtail, Tiger Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Pacu, Arowana, Peacock Bass
Koh Samui
Top Cats Fishing Resort
Most anglers will never have seen such a diverse selection of large fish in one place. There are over 4,000 fish and
over 20 different species to catch. The specimen lake is set in 4.35 acres and has been designed and manicured to
sit naturally within it's own spectacular natural environment. The lake has a depth of up to 27 feet and offers a
diverse range of large fish. Due to the perfect environment, the natural food chain the venue has created and the
high protein balanced diet the fish are fed the weight gains have to be seen to be believed. The helpful staff can
advise you of the special techniques and baits required to catch each fish.
Target Species Giant Siamese carp, Arapaima, Redtails

not be altered. All major changes to your booking, including a change of travel date, once
confirmed and any other changes that significantly alter the original holiday will be
treated as a cancellation. Some suppliers, particularly airlines, may also regard a name
change or other change to an existing booking as a cancellation and re book with up to
100% cancellation charges.

defined as unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the
consequences of which we could not avoid even with the exercise of all due care,
including (by way of example only) war or threat of war, riots, civil strike, industrial
dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions,
computer reservation system failure or airline rescheduling. In all cases of force
majeure the Company's liability shall be limited to the company's choice of i) providing a
refund or a credit note (less an admin fee of 50 per person) or ii) supplying an
alternative equivalent holiday on a suitable date.
Refunds - If you curtail or cancel your travel arrangements, you may be entitled to a
partial refund. We need to receive from you written notification of cancellation and any
original ticket/voucher before any refund can be considered. Refunds will only be paid to
you once we have received the monies back from our supplier(s) and usually takes 8-12
weeks but in some cases (eg lost tickets) this may take longer. Any refund paid will be
net of any charges imposed by our suppliers and the Company applies a further per
ticket administration fee over and above cancellation charges in such cases.
Behaviour - It is your responsibility to ensure that you and the members of your party
do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others which risks damage to

pilots) and THG Holidays have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf,
in which case our responsibility to you ceases immediately and there can be no refunds,
no payment of compensation, and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses you may
incur as a result. Further, you will be liable to reimburse THG Holidays for any expenses
whatsoever it incurs as a result of your behaviour.
Travel Documents - Where paper tickets are required, travel documents are usually
ready for dispatch 14 days prior to departure but cannot be released until we have
received full payment (in cleared funds). If you have not received your documents or you

be added to your booking. We strongly recommend that all documents be sent to you
by Registered Post to your home or office for an additional fee. Documents can be sent
by post but the company do not accept responsibility for documents mislaid or lost by

complete an indemnity form and send it to us so that we can pass it to the airline or
supplier concerned.

the time of your booking. Your confirmed flight times will be shown on your tickets.
