Cocoyoc, Mexico, January 6 9, 2015. This Symposium has been organized yearly since
1978 and provides a relaxed and informal environment to exchange ideas on research areas
related to the interests of the local groups.
Scientific
program:
The Conference program will consist of about 30 invited talks and a permanent poster
exhibition on the topics listed below:
Nuclear structure,
Nuclear reactions,
Physics with radioactive ion beams,
Hadron physics,
Nuclear astrophysics, Neutron physics,
LHC physics.
Proceedings:
The Symposium proceedings will be published in IOP Journal of Physics: Conference
Series. Only invited talks will be included in the proceedings. All papers will be refereed.
Financial Support:
We regret not having funds available to support travel, lodging, and registration fee for
participants.
Students:
We offer financial support to graduate and undergraduate students registered in Mexican
Universities and working on the research topics listed above.
To apply for financial support, students are encouraged to present their work during the
poster session and also required to have a recommendation letter (written by their research
supervisor) sent to the Local Organizing Committee, no later than November 30th, 2014.

This includes all meals and coffee breaks during the symposium, bus transportation from
Mexico City to Cocoyoc and back.
Venue:
The Symposium will be held in Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc http://en.hcocoyoc.com/ , a resort
in the state of Morelos (municipality of Yautepec), about 90 km (1 hr and 15 min) from the
Southern part of Mexico City.

Bus transportation has been arranged on January 6th and 9th, to take the participants from
Mexico City to Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc and back (Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc to Mexico
City) at no cost.
It consists on a single run departing from Hotel Hilton Reforma (Juarez 70) at 10:00, with
two stops, one at Hotel Tulip Inn Ritz (Madero 30) and another at Sanborns San Angel
(Insurgentes Sur 2105) to pick up other participants. The arrival time at Hotel Hacienda
Cocoyoc would be around 14:00.
On January 9th the bus is scheduled to depart around 15:00
Leisure:
Besides the scientific program we are planning a guided visit to Chalcatzingo, an
archeological site near the conference hotel. Further information will be provided in the last
Circular.
