Introduction
Billboard manufacture is becoming increasingly sophisticated.
More and more sign companies are taking advantage of
computerized market research data to optimize the placement
of their billboards. This trend is likely to continue as marketers
continue to seek out the most effective advertising mediums.
Bar coding technology is becoming a popular way of tracking
information related to billboards. Some companies
even videotape their signs and put together a computer display
for their clients so they can just click on a location and see a
picture or video of the billboard that is there. Satellite
technology will also play a larger role in the billboard market of
the future. Already satellite systems are being used to control
lighting and to track sign locations.
However, perhaps the most interesting innovations in the
industry are occurring in the area of advertising artwork. For
example, one new type of sign uses a multi-faceted prismatic
facing to actually deliver two different advertising messages.
As the viewer approaches the sign, they see one picture, but
as they pass the sign, their angle of view changes, revealing a
different picture. This type of clever innovation continues to
make billboards a popular and economically viable method of
advertising.
The very fact that there is such rapid innovation in the outdoor
advertising industry proves that the industry is doing well.
There are a growing number of outdoor advertising companies
being formed every year. This strong, consistent growth is
ramping up competition within the industry and fueling
innovations that continue to drive outdoor advertising to new
heights of relevancy and effectiveness for those who utilize it.

LED Light Boxes give duratrans and backlit signage a high


definition appearance using bright LED lighting. This kind of

attention of consumers.

for generation after generation. In recent years, however, there
has been a steady decline in sales of incandescent bulbs,
primarily due to the development of compact fluorescent lights
and now most recently, LEDs
For the advantages, first, is its brevity. Outdoor
advertising is effective for communicating short messages and
simple ideas or concepts. Second is its Strategic Placement.
Billboards can be placed at high-traffic areas or other strategic
locations, while transit signs can be affixed to the backs and
sides of buses, in bus stops, and in rail stations. Third is, it is
Attention Grabbing. The combination of size, color, and
illumination attracts attention. Advancements in billboard
technology including vinyl and computerized painting, 3dimensional effects, backlighting, digital & LED technology,
computerized lighting and more boost billboards ability to
capture viewers attention. Fourth is its Low Cost. The costper-thousand of an Outdoor media is significantly lower than
that of any other advertising medium in some cases by a
factor of ten or even twenty. Fifth is the Creative Flexibility.
The medium allows for extended creativity and provides
images viewable from a distance. Current imaging technology
provides displays that were not possible earlier by hand

painting, and new display techniques allow for better execution


than in other media. Outdoor advertisements can include a
larger-than-life image or various models, which can create
more attention as 3-D objects. Sixth is its High repeat
exposure. A hoarding placed at an important crossing like
central business district area, shopping malls or railway
stations generate high level of repeat exposure for a regular
commuter.
Seventh is there will be Full-time Audience. Outdoor
advertisement appears 24 hours a day and with the help of
modern technology like light and vinyl color, these are quite
attractive in the night. Eighth is its Directional. Billboard can
be used as directional, pointing out the locations of a given
business. Ninth is it is Concentrated in Metros and Large
Towns. A successful outdoor vehicle requires a minimum
critical mass of targeted audience. As a result, this medium
finds widespread acceptance for large advertisers in metro
cities and a few large towns. With increased incidence of
advertising spends by local advertisers, the attractiveness of
as a medium, in smaller towns could increase. Tenth is
its Moveable Message. Moveable message signs allow three
different images or messages to show in succession on a
single sign, greatly increasing potential revenue per sign.
Eleventh is its Impact Medium. Outdoor displays are intended
to get peoples attention while they drive or walk.

national advertisers as it reinforces the impact of a particular
brand. Lastly, it attracts local advertising. advertising

VI. Advantages of led lights


LEDs : LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. Unlike
incandescent bulbs, LEDs are made up of a material called a

semiconductor. When an electrical current is passed through


this solid material, its individual atoms become excited and
release energy in the form of light.
No Heat : LEDs produce little or no heat compared to
incandescent bulbs. This means there is a reduced risk of
accidental burns or fires, as well as not overheating an
environment which can cause discomfort. This is of concern
not just in warmer climates, but also when incandescent lights
are used in a public venue such as a bar or theatre.
Solid : Because LEDs are made from a solid material, they are
much more durable than incandescent bulbs. Dropping or
bashing an LED by accident is not as big a risk as it is with an
incandescent light which will smash, rendering it inoperable
and dangerous due to broken glass.
Savings : LEDs last much longer than their incandescent
counterparts. A standard incandescent bulb will last for a
maximum of 1500 hours while an LED can last for up to
60,000! This means far fewer changes, which means lower
maintenance costs. In the past LEDs were much more
expensive, but now their initial cost completely justifies the
savings which can be made in the long term.
Energy : Most LEDs consume only a fraction of the electricity
that an incandescent bulb does. This means far lower energy
bills. This is especially important for larger properties which
can amass huge monthly bills. LEDs cut costs significantly in
the long term.
Environment : Due to lower power consumption, LEDs are
better for the environment, contributing less to climate change.

Colour : In order to change the colour of an incandescent bulb


it has to be coated in a special, non-combustible paint. This is
not exactly pleasing to the eye. LEDs come in a variety of
colours making them more adaptable, that's why they can be
used for almost any lighting situation.
Variable : Some LEDs can change colour allowing them to
cycle through the light spectrum. This is great for decorations,
especially at Christmas time!
Smaller : LEDs are typically quite small and due to their
design do not require a bulbous appearance. This is great for
situations such as ceiling downlights where LEDs can sit flush
with the roof without protruding. They can also be installed in
more intimate spaces than incandescent bulbs.
Directional : Because LED lights are far more directional in
the way that they produce light, they are perfect as spotlights.
Incandescent bulbs on the other hand are more omnidirectional which means that they are not as good at
highlighting a specific space or object. This makes LEDs
perfect for more elaborate lighting situations where it is more
desirable to highlight features of a room or exterior.
Temporary : LED lights do not necessarily require a mains
supply of electricity. They can in fact be battery powered which
is why they are perfect for temporary lighting in any
environment, even where a mains supply is not present.
Battery powered LED light strips are a great option for this type
of situation.
The incandescent bulb has had a long history, but with the
advent of cheaper and more reliable LED lights on the market,
it may well of had its day.

VII. Conclusion
Driven by rising energy costs and growing concern for
environmental preservation, LED lighting technology has
established itself as a proven alternative to traditional highintensity discharge (HID) or high-pressure sodium (HPS)
lighting. It can be said that LED lights more efficient and
affordable on costs, features and its function as a multi stage
system. Through this, it can enhance and develop the entire
portion of making a proposed project with the used of LED light
on overall appearance and its working efficiency on billboard
project. Due to modernization, LED Lights simply make a
change on the aging systems on advertising that can be
realized to improved and developed.

LEDs are solid-state devices that utilize semiconductor
material instead of a filament or neon gas.
Consequently, they can withstand much more
demanding environments than traditional solutions
including shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
These capabilities contribute to the long operational
life of LEDs, which can greatly reduce expenditure on

the unsightly distractions of ongoing maintenance with


service personnel replacing lamps that burn out
frequently.
It reduced light pollution and wasted energy
LEDs are designed to be highly directional and
controllable, and can be engineered to provide light
only where it is needed in applications such as streets
and sidewalks. LEDs also reduce the amount of
undesired light, such as the night sky and
neighbouring properties. Through these capabilities,
LED technology can optimize street lighting systems
by reducing light pollution and wasted energy by
providing accurate, targeted illumination.

High-quality LED fixtures improve visibility through
better color rendering and uniform illumination
patterns. Many LED fixtures allow lighting to be
dimmed when conditions are appropriate to receive
even more cost savings. LED lighting can be more
precisely controlled, minimizing overlit hot spots, and
ensuring adequate illumination between luminaries
and at the far edges of the space.
Lastly, it puts off or lessen the electricity expenses
made by the type of business
Due to its overall impact of sustainability and quality
light that it produce, the businesses also benefited on
this kind of project. Costly wise it was a good idea to
put up. An advertising business could use this project
to allocate great point of leaving up a great idea on its
overview package.

We therefore conclude that the introduction of more


energy efficient lighting boxes and procedures can, at
the same time provide better living and working
environments, lighten up advertising businesses on
strategies that they can used to lessen expenses and
also contribute in a cost-effective manner to the global
reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas
emissions overall.
