This position within Volvo Financial Services Brazil reports to the President of VFS

Region Americas and is located in Curitiba, Brazil.

President VFS Brazil


This position is responsible for leading the Volvo Financial Services operations based
in Curitiba, Brazil. The President is responsible for identifying new commercial
opportunities and driving profitable growth across the business activities in Brazil.
His/her role is to ensure the achievement of the strategic business plan. This position
will manage all aspects of the business including sales, credit, operations, and
finance while ensuring the Brazilian organization achieves world class levels of
customer and dealer satisfaction.
As Business Area Head in Brazil, this position is a m e m b e r of the Volvo do
Brasil Country Management Team, responsible for the strategic leadership,
direction and development of the business.
Purpose of the job:
Maintain targets of Volvo Mission and Vision
Further develop and implement VFS strategy in Brazil
Achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives set for VFS Brazil
Lead the company in a professional, ethical and motivating way
Secure and develop the right competence in VFS Brazil attract, retain and
develop employees
Act in the spirit of The Volvo Way
Adhere to Volvo policies and guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all operational, commercial and financial results of VFS Brazil
Represent the company with business partners and authorities
Manage relationships with market companies, dealers and customers
Overall strategic responsibility including risk, financial management and company
results in line with VFS strategy and objectives
Collaboration in planning and activities within VFS
Member of Regional and local Credit committees
Member of VFS Region the Americas Executive Management Team
Member of the Volvo Country Management Team in Brazil
Responsibility for preparation of the Business Review Meetings material
Ensure accurate and timely information to the reporting group
Execute senior management decisions
Enhance portfolio monitoring and, stability and control
Develop and implement the mid and long term commercial strategies according
to VFS Business Plan, AB Volvo guidelines, policies, directives and guidelines
Identify new market opportunities and propose business solutions to secure new
contracts and long term customer relationships
Focus on productivity, costs maximization and competency / leadership
development in order to provide added value solutions to premium customers
Establish, manage, control and report the sales, after sales, dealer net
development and marketing activities in South America dealing with all
associated administration
Define the necessary structure to support the business in Brazil
Reinforce the principles of the Volvo Way and of the Code of Conduct
Manage the teams to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives

Support major negotiations with key dealers and customers


Develop a results-oriented and a continuous improvement working environment.

Education:

University degree in Administration/Finance or similar


Masters in Business Administration is preferred.

Professional Experience:

Documented experience in financial services business


Experience in the Transportation/Automotive market
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Proven experience in people management
Preferred Volvo knowledge and experience

Fluent in Portuguese and English, spoken language as well as reading and
writing.
