Release Strategy
What is the release strategy of the SAP Solution Manager in 2002?
In July, 2002, the SAP Solution Manager 2.1 version (based on WebAS
6.10) was released including several improvements for technical
installation and operations aspects.
As part of the CRM 3.1 ramp-up beginning in September 2002, SAP
Solution Manager will for the first time include implementation
technology and content that fully supports the functional and technical
implementation of CRM 3.1 projects. All CRM 3.1 ramp-up customers
automatically receive an enhanced version of the SAP Solution Manager
Release 2.10.
The SAP Solution Manager will be also available to customers during
ramp-up phases of other major mySAP.com solutions.
The SAP Solution Manager Release 2.2 (based on WebAS 6.20) will be
the first unrestricted shipment of the implementation technology and
content, and is expected to be available by December 2002.
