This assignment should fulfill these objectives

set for this unit :

Describe & explore the mathematical concepts, counting principles, counting skills
and attitude, which young children usually develop from birth to six years.

Describes the roles of a Mathematics teacher in scaffolding the mathematical learning

of children through play.

Plan a developmentally appropriate structured or unstructured mathematical activity

for young children in accordance to the guidelines in the National Pre-school
Standard Curriculum (2010) or any other learning framework of other countries.

FORMAT OF THE LESSON PLAN (Please use this format without the
words in the brackets)
Title of the activity : Balloon with numbers counting the bubbles
Mathematical learning goal: (Details of linked mathematics learning goals
must be identified. Could make references to the National Preschool Standards
Currriculum or any other learning framework of other countries, please ensure
that it is from a reliable source)
Connection made to child and how the adult can support the children:
Children often enjoy Children will enjoy while they hold the balloons and
while they pop the balloons
Adults could provide .Teach them how pronouns the number and teach
them how to count the bubbles and blow the bubbles for them
The Activity : (you could specify what type of activity eg: child-initiated or adult
led. Explain what the child could do in this activity to explore the mathematical
learning goal)
Encouraging mathematical thinking and reasoning: (Suggest 2 prompts
/questions EACH to elicit mathematical responses from the children)

Describing : This is a balloons and bubbles with numbers activity.1st

teacher show the flash card and teach the student 1-10. After teach it,
put the balloons in front of the children and ask them to arrange the
balloons accordingly. After that, blow the bubbles in front children and
ask them to count the bubbles and teach them a song and pop the
balloons while singing.

Recording : From this lesson, children can learn the numbers. They can
spell the numbers and memorize it.

Reasoning: What number is this? How you spell the numbers? Which is
number? How you arrange the balloons? How you count the bubbles?

Opening out: (exploring other ways or objects that could be used to

expand the childrens mathematical thinking)

The Mathematical Journey: It is a counting in sequence concept activity

Development and Variation: They develop their cognitive skills while them
counting and arrange the balloons according the numbers. And they develop
their fine and motor skills while they run and pop the bubbles. And they develop
their language skills too while they pronouns the numbers and the numbers
