Apply 196 N (20 kg,44 lb) force to operate parking brake pedal. Check that lever stroke is within specified
stroke range.

installation nuts from both cables.
left and right rear cables from vehicle.

Rear LH cable

Install in the reverse order of removal. Tighten installation nuts and bolts to specified torque.
CAUTION:
Parking brake cable self-locking nut cannot be reused. Do not attempt to reuse it.
Adjust parking brake.

INSPECTION

Check parking brake assembly for bending, damage, and cracking. Replace it if any irregularity is found.
Check cable and equalizer for wear and damage. Replace if any irregularity is found.
Check warning lamp switch and replace it if any non-standard conditions are found.
Check all parts for deformation and damage caused by contact with other parts. Replace if any irregularity
is found.
