I am a 20 year+ experienced business developer with expertise covering IT Outsourcing, IT


Managed Services and BPO activities either from a new business or client management
perspective. My successful track record covers Utilities (Energy & Water), Retail and Financial
Services sectors on a multi-national basis, developing and executing territory and client
growth plans on behalf of Tier 1 organisations.

Summary Employment history.

Jan 2009 – present, Logica. Client Director for the E.ON account for UK, United States and Spain.

Responsible for the development and execution of the multi-national growth strategy for the E.ON account, one of
Logica’s Global Accounts. Establish “C-Suite” relationships and build a pipeline for business growth covering IT
Outsourcing contracts to take the relationship from a €25m per annum account in 2008 to a €75m+ account by 2011.
Successes include developing the current pipeline to €1.5b with closure dates in 2010 and 2011, development of the
account plan to deliver the required growth and establishment of a solid network of “C” level stakeholders within
the business units and the corporate parent level in Germany.

Dec 2006 – Dec 2008. Vertex Customer Management. Senior Account Manager.

I was responsible for business growth within the United Utilities account and the UK Utilities Sector reporting to the
Business Development Director for Utilities, covering both IT Outsourcing and BPO activities. In the time I delivered
in excess of £70m contract value new business against a target of £60m and billable revenue of greater than £20m
against a target of £16m. I also managed a team of 3 sales account managers.

May 2001 – Dec 2006. Vertex Customer Management. Business Development Manager.

I was responsible for developing new business BPO relationships in the UK Retail and Financial Services sectors,
during that time winning new business relationships with MBNA, Equifax, Royal Bank of Scotland and LloydsTSB as
well as Tesco in the Retail sector. The value of these contracts contributed greater than £10m per annum in billable
revenue.

Sept 1998 – May 2001. Computacenter. Services Sales Manager.

Responsible for developing IT Managed Services relationships on the back of the established IT equipment supply
relationships held by Computacenter. Successful in winning Managed Services business with MBNA, Royal &
SunAlliance, Littlewoods Home Shopping Group and Shell.

April 1990 – Sept 1998. Digital Equipment Corporation. Services Sales Manager.

Responsible for winning and developing Managed Service contracts with major organisations such as Michelin;
British Nuclear Fuels; EDS; Kelloggs; Rolls Royce, AVIS and Unilever Group. Delivered new business wins in excess of
$700m during the period and qualified for the UK Sales High-Achievers club each year and the Global Sales High-
Achievers club on 2 occasions. Responsible for running a multi-national team to win and develop the EDS
relationship across EMEA, including a sales team of around 10 people, taking the account from a sub £1m per annum
account to an annual revenue approaching £50m.

April 1987 – April 1990 Degital Equipment Corporation. EMEA Installation Services Manager.

This was an operational role to manage the Installation business across EMEA, covering 17 different territories to
introduce innovative and standard working methodologies to the installation business to improve quality and
consistency of service delivery. The role was based in France in Digitals European technical headquarters in Sophia
Antipolis, near Nice.

As an experienced business developer I have extensive experience gained over twenty years of:

 Development and execution of Account based Sales & Marketing plans to grow business relationships
 Multi-National sales experience across Europe and management of sales and delivery teams to build client
relationships
 Winning complex new business deals covering the ITO and BPO disciplines across various sectors
 Running large-scale outsourcing and managed service relationships to deliver a platform for growth within
the client relationship
 Complex negotiations to create win /win solutions with clients that deliver improved business outcomes for
my company and my client
 “C-Suite” stakeholder engagement to ensure that my company correctly understands the strategic goals of
the client and to ensure that my company has the greatest opportunity of success

In summary, I am a rounded businessman with extensive experience of shaping and developing business
relationships with clients, involving the management of direct and virtual teams to achieve a common success goal.

Personal Details

My date of birth is 14th June, 1957 and essentially I am looking for a fresh challenge for the remaining years of
employment through to 2017. I am a social individual, enjoying the company of others and making new friendships
and believe that the cultural and business energy of the region would suit me particularly well. My daughter now
lives in Abu Dhabi with an intention to stay there for the long-term and this clearly gives me an added incentive for a
successful career in the area.

I have been married to Linda since 1979 and she is completely supportive of a move to the UAE area, similarly
relishing the cultural diversity experience that will await us both. I enjoy sport and keeping fit, although my active
days of playing rugby union are sadly over I am still an avid spectator. I am a registered England RFU rugby coach and
have enjoyed coaching my clubs 1st, 2nd and junior teams a different times as a way of giving something back to the
sport that has given me so much.
