Description
Philippines Pride is a work text series in social studies for elementary pupils. It aims to address
the challenges of the 21st century that Filipinos are faced with, with the hope that they can cope with
these challenges. It also provides opportunities for teachers and learners to be updated and to see life
through authentic task that aid them to reflect on a real life situations. Through the different activities
in each lesson of the series, the learners critical, creative, and careful thing are developed. These
ways of thinking are further enhanced through authentic experience during the learning process,
particularly when they are formed into a community of inquiry learners.
The series intends to equip pupils with the ability to make informed and reasoned decision for
the common good, as citizens of a culturally diverse and democratic society. It is, likewise, the
commitment of the writer to develop among young Filipino a strong sense of nationalism in a globally
competitive world.
This subject is designed primarily to introduce to young learners the concept and the
characteristics of the planet earth since geography is the study of the Earth, It is essential for them to
unlock the mystery of the home planet and to be proud for its own root by learning things concerning
to his homeland.
This quartet is focused on how to appreciate the self-improvement of one individual and knowing
the members of the family.
