Abstract: The vegetable price system is an important component of agricultural production. Because of

the characteristics of vegetables, the prices have their own features. Based on the survey in Shandong and

Beijing, this article not only summarizes the three price conduction modes of vegetables, but also analyzes

the cost-benefit on vegetable production chain. Then we try to explain the underlying reason of the price
volatility, and come to the policy suggestions that we must establish a Long-term control mechanism, and

the mainstay of the mechanism is the Central Agricultural Products Wholesale Market which serves the
public.
