The United Nations Charter provides the rest of the authority to do it. (An autonomous independent sovereign nation-state contemplated
under Article 1 of the 1933 Montevideo Convention on Rights and Duties of States requiring the state as a person of international law
possessing the four qualifications of (a) a permanent population, (b) a defined territory, c) government;
and (d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states.)

Aloha Kakou,
Honorable Leaders: I implore you to use good judgement and wisdom. As a follow up to my letter
addressing the Iranian nuclear situation, I stress the observation that the current negotiations truly
miss the point. The way I see this is that, there are two issues at stake - the threat of War and the
threat of Nuclear Accidents. Both paths have the horrific potential to lead to death, destruction and
annihilation of the human family, as well as planet earth.
You, as leaders, know the path that must be chosen; yet you hesitate to fully engage in what is at
stake. It takes a heart of courage, of love for your fellow man, of passion for the beauty of the
natural world, and most especially, of respect for the planet itself. It requires selflessness and
statesmanship to make decisions that are good for mankind, with minimal political advantage.
You must understand that your decisions made now, could affect the next thousand years perhaps
affect millennia, because the nuclear threat is exponentially greater than it has ever been. Your
decisions have the potential to affect the entire solar system, the galaxy, the universe. After all,
even the fluttering of a butterflys wings are said to have an effect on the universe; how much more
is a nuclear mistake able to change the very nature of the heavens.
Can you imagine your loved ones being caught in the devastating domino effect of a disaster that
was caused by your inability to act justly and make decisions with noble intent?
The human family is at a crossroads in the way they wish to be led by their elected leaders. They
expect your decisions to consider the health and wellbeing of the entire human family, the natural
world and our life-sustaining planet.
Look at the paths before you the path of deathly destruction or the path of life advancement.
Choose to be great, to be excellent. Look beyond the here and now and think about your legacy
a legacy that will last for an eternity.
The real issue is that there is no need to go down the nuclear path at all. We have all the technology
we need to provide power without relying upon nuclear reactors; such as solar, wind, and other
renewable and safe technologies that can be implemented quickly to make the burning of uranium,
coal, gas, or oil unnecessary. Those renewable technologies are available now.

There seems to be an absence of a learning curve related to the risks of nuclear power. Three Mile
Island, Chernobyl, Fukushima how many more disasters will it take before we open our minds to
the possibility that pursuit of nuclear power was a mistake from the beginning?
Countries throughout the Middle East are now pursuing solar, even those with abundant oil. The
solar inevitability is clearer every day. Digressing from the safe path to continue using nuclear
energy makes no sense.
Even more serious is that the nuclear path produces material that could be used in a dirty bomb or
a nuclear weapon. These weapons mean that there should not be any talk of war. Such a war
would devastate the Human life support system and collapse civilization, as we know it. The impact
will be felt for generations, if there is even a pathway to recovering from such a disaster.
The catastrophic accidents and the sword of destruction hanging over the Human Family only
further demonstrate the lack of prudence and foresight in the decision to pursue this technology
and weaponry.
If the parties to this dispute are prepared to pursue a comprehensive approach to resolving the
conflicts threatening the entire Human Family, the Kingdom is prepared to put together a team to
provide conflict resolution services to the parties. Those services will be based on ancient
principles and practices developed by Hawaiians known as hooponopono.
One of the great tragedies of the encounter between the Hawaiian civilization and western
civilization was the failure of those coming to Hawaii to recognize the highly sophisticated
Hawaiian civilization and what that civilization could offer. We are still here. We are still
offering. We practice Aloha. We seek nothing more than peace and reconciliation within the
Human Family and peace and reconciliation between the Human Family and the rest of the Natural
World. It would be our honor to assist our brothers and sisters engaged in conflict to find a
pathway toward peace.
Closing remarks:
Come in, come sit, eat and talk
Go Forward. The time is now! The power is you! We are awake! We want a better world!

Together, we can determine our future. We can consciously choose to build a civilization that is
sustainable, self-reliant, unified, and at peace. We, as people, know what needs to be done. We are
dissolving the power of the past by reorganizing our Civilization on this planet.
The Kingdom of Hawaii is restored as a beacon of light, showing the way to a new civilization, based
on respect for all members of the Human Family; A civilization where everyone is informed through
open communications and participates through truly democratic processes.
Let us work with humbleness as one People in celebrating the need to live in Oneness and the Spirit
of Aloha. Together, let us build a civilization that hears the voices of all the innocent creatures on the
Earth; A civilization that lives in harmony with the ecological systems that support us.
The Kingdom path is the path of Aloha, A love for all creation and a belief that we can create what
we know in our hearts is the highest expression of who we are as a species. Let our collective goal be
to create a model of peace and prosperity for the Human Family, in harmony with the natural world
and our planet.
