President ASME MUST
MUSTIVAL14
Last year ASME MUST conducted an inter departmental competition named as
Mustival14. It was the first very successful academic and social event in the history
of MUST. More than 350 students from all the departments of MUST participated in 5
different modules, with full zest and vigor. The main theme of Mustival14 was to
provide a platform for the young minds of MUST where they put forward their creative
ideas and skills. Moreover we invited two young entrepreneurs, who helped them
highlighting the weak points of their ideas and enlighten them about actual ground
realities of professional life. Mustival14 brought a change in the minds of MUSTians
and motivated them a lot. Also MUstival14 created a new environment of conducting
these kinds of academic and social events.
MUSTIVAL15
After the enormous success of MUSTIVAL14, ASME MUST Chapter brings to you the
eagerly anticipated sequel, MUSTIVAL15. The event was conceived to help students
relate the academic and theoretical knowledge acquired over the years to its practical
significance and implementation. It is an opportunity to test them against the best in
the country and to scrutinize their abilities and potential before the inevitable dive
into the realms and rigors of professional life. The event envisages fascinating
modules that give a stern examination to the student's creativity, thinking skills and
radical decision making.
It is a three day experience in which students from all universities are invited, It
consists of 7 modules related to both Arts and Engineering that will challenge the
skills and also the knowledge of the Participants. Apart from the Modules, our event
has a handful of social events too.
MODULES
Following are the Modules of MUSTival15:
Battle of Minds
Junk Art
Present Mania
Gaming Wars
Write your Intellect
Paint your Imagination
Speed Design Contest (SDC)
Poster & Logo Design
SOCIAL EVENTS
Apart from these extraordinary modules we also have some fun and entertaining
social events for the participants too. The social events include:
Theme Dinner
Basketball & Table Tennis Matches
Drama Night
Motivational Speaker Session

BATTLE OF MINDS
The idea behind BATTLE OF MINDS is to use full potential of your mental capabilities
to understand a problem by a video. The problem may be simple enough but getting
hold of the idea may not be. There is no prior preparation of this round, but
everything would rely on one quick thinking and rationale reasoning, not to forget
your mental presence.
DESCRIPTION:
This Module will analyze your ability to understand a problem. A short video will be
shown. Then each team will be provided with a MCQ paper to test their
understanding. The video will be self-explanatory and everything will be asked from
the video itself; no preparation will be needed for it.
What You Require?
All you require will be your Brain and Speed!!!
JUNK ART
We believe that our Airplanes are not just being able to fly the right way, we want
them to look aesthetically pleasing as well. Junk Art is geared towards using every
day scrap material and fashioning them into planes. They do not need to fly; they just
need to represent the real thing as closely as possible. So be ready with your artsy
hat and show us what you can do.

PRESENT MANIA
ASME MUST Chapter is providing a golden opportunity for students from all over
Kashmir to gain some precious insight into the industries of Pakistan and present
solutions to the prevailing problems faced by them. All registered team will be
provided with a unique problem statement two weeks prior to the competition. The
problem statements will be covering wide spectrum of engineering industries and will
be representing various problems faced by them. Each team will be expected to bring
and present solution to the problem statement during the course of the competition.
These solutions will be judged by a panel of academicians and industry
representatives on the basis of their ingenuity, feasibility and simplicity.
Our industrial outreach team has planned out a scheme after consulting with Steering
Committee to ensure an impressive participation of and input from industry in this
module. Problem statement given to the participants will be actual problems faced by
their
The type of problems given to the students will be diverse. They will not be related to
a single specific field rather they will apply the basic knowledge belonging from any
field .Two weeks before the competition, our Liaison Representative will contact the
registered teams and give them the problem on their email address.
Judging Criteria
