INTRODUCTION & MOTIVATION


Explain to the class that weve been chosen to create a documentary
detailing the causes, effects and process of volcanoes. As the explanation
progresses, a prezi will go slide by slide for the class to process the
requirements for the task.

What are the causes/process/effects of volcanoes?

Brainstorm on the board different eruptions in history and what effect


they had on the environment around them: nature, people, structures.
LESSON STEPS
10 min

Ask a three students to hand out the iPads to the children in class.
You will detail how to use iMovie as an example. It is at this opportunity
that you can incorporate time for students to begin their documentary.

Ask students to remember which iPad they were using and tell
the teacher to write it down on a list.
Ask grouped tables to return iPads.

Sit quietly at desk waiting for further instruction.
