House Majority To Senate Dems: Send Over Capital Outlay Bill

Santa Fe, NM House Appropriations and Finance Chairman Rep. Larry Larraaga and House
Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Jason Harper sent a letter to Senate Finance Chairman John
Arthur Smith on Monday asking that he send over the capital outlay budget as soon as possible.
We are becoming increasingly concerned that we have yet to receive a Capital Outlay bill from
the Senate, the letter says. ... It is absolutely critical that we receive the capital outlay bill no
later than Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
The letter also says that the House will soon pass a package of tax bills (SB 386) and asked the
Senate to act on the bill once that happens so that the House is able to concur with HB2.
