The present Technical Specifications determine sizes, properties, scope of application, and final
manufacture of fat filters. The Specifications apply to the design, ordering, production, acceptance,
delivery, and use of these products as of 1.11.2006. The present technical specifications replace
TPI 2-04.

I. GENERAL
Fat filters serve for air exhaust in the kitchen ventilation system and damp premises in the range of temperatures from 0C
up to 70C. They are designed to be mounted onto the duct, into the spigot or into the wall. The function of the fat filter
lies in capturing of finer fat aerosol particles from the exhausted air. They also can be provided with an air flow regulator.
Fat filters IMOS - OT are delivered:
- OTV - vertical mesh - more layer metal filter for vertical installation
- LOT - vertical with a two level filtration - more layer metal filter with a labyrinth-type filter
- OTH - horizontal mesh - more layer metal filter for horizontal installation
Functionality Description
Fat filters are designed as terminal elements for exhausting polluted air in performances, where the exhausted air contains
vapour, fat and other grease. They are being mounted onto the exhaust duct, where they separate impurities from the air.
The separator frame is fixed to the duct, as for OTH the separated grease is captured in an intercepting container, as for
OTV in an intercepting drain. The standard position of the intercepting drain is a = 90C, if necessary, the a angle can be
optional. It is easy to pull out and wash the separator collet (pic.6). Two level fat filters are designed for environments with
higher vapour concentration.
The OT separability depends on the composition of the polluted air and the exhaust velocity. Recommended velocities are
shown in graphs 1 and 2.

III. CHECKING, ACCEPTANCE, AND WARRANTY

Product completeness and processing quality checks are provided by the manufacturer, who grants a 24 months warranty
for the product, commencing as of the dispatch date. The acceptance procedure is subject to the manufacturer's
generally binding directives. The fat filters OTH, OTV and LOT are delivered as assembled.

IV. ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE

The IMOS / OTV, OTH and LOT assembly consists of:

Maintenance of IMOS - OTV, OTH and LOT :
Apart from common cleaning, it is not necessary to perform any maintenance during the operating life of the fat filter.
Cleaning:
It is possible to clean the fat filter collet in a dishwasher or manually. We recommend to use a detergent for stainless
dishes. The recommended washing temperature in a dishwasher is up to 60C, when cleaning manually the collet has to
be soaked in warm detergent water of ca. 50C and cleaned with a brush after 15 minutes.

V. PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

The products IMOS - OTV, OTH and LOT are delivered in paper boxes or non-standard sizes in PVC foil; the customer
is required to deliver such cover to a waste disposal or recycling facility at his expense. Transportation to a customer is
organised with the use of ordinary means of transport, and the cost is also to be borne by the customer. It is recommended that products are kept in an enclosed and dry place.
