Statement of Responsibilities

Learn to manage all Bids, Solicitations, Un-Solicited Proposals and most large Quotations
submitted by the Government Division. Be responsible to understand Terms & Conditions, and
any special requirements on bids and solicitations. Work with Contract Specialist in reviewing
quotes to make sure we are in compliance with regulations. Assist in working with our SDVOSB
partners to make sure we take advantage of their status. Will not always be just 40 hours a week!

Responsibility for Work of Others

Instructing Lead out in training the government team in best values in our quoting.
Assigning Work Determine who is going submit bids and proposals, and work with both
Purchasing and Traffic Manager on pricing and Terms.
Reviewing Work Responsible for reviewing/approving bids and proposals before submission.
Coordinating Activities Bring all necessary areas together for cohesion on bids.

Education & On The Job Experience Required

Be able to do detailed reading and comprehension, technical writing experience and skills, be
proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Needs a good understanding of GSA Contracting, plus
a good understanding of how the government does business. Be able to adapt to work under
pressure and short time lines, as well as work with and possibly manage others.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Sign-up for automatic receipt of all GSA, E-Buy, Fed-Bid and all state and federal sites.
Be able to determine when to bid or when to pass.
Work with sales reps to learn about their government customers who provide bids.
Learn how to talk with customers and learn what leverage we can control in selection.
Work with Purchasing and Traffic Dept. on product, pricing and with shipping.
Be able to read Terms and details of bids, especially delivery specifications.
Learn how to deal with contracting officers, how to gain required information and learn
how to ask right questions. Learn what you can and cant do, say and/or ask!
8- Maintain bid database, including wins and losses, plus leads from agencies.
9- Will also serve as a Lead Generator for PGS Sales Reps.
10- Assume that it will not always be just a normal 40 hours a week, regular hours.
Will work with Director of Government Department and Contract Specialist to make sure our
bids are all compliant with both state and federal regulations. Attend appropriate training.
