Lets talk about cleanliness, purity, and Taharah. As Muslims, we need to give a positive impression to those
around us. We are constantly representing Islam, so we need to be careful in everything we do. One very
important aspect that we must care for as Muslims is our cleanliness.

If we are not clean and pure, not only do we give a negative impression, but our other good deeds don't count!
For example, without proper wudu and taharah, our prayed does not count. Also, before going to the mosque,
Rasullullah (S) told us to make ghusl, or a bath. Thus, before coming to the mosque or coming to AL-Falah, it

is especially important to have the right Taharah, or purity. This includes taking a shower and making wudu.
Also, we need to keep the area around us clean and pure. This includes our home and our school. But guess

what the most important place to keep clean is? It is the Mosque, or the house of Allah (SWT), of course! We
need to constantly do our part by cleaning the area around us in the Masjid. This will give us a lot of Hasanat,

inshallah.

2. Be Responsible

words and actions.

Remember, Allah (SWT) loves 2 types of people: those who seek forgiveness , and those who are pure. Our

bodies are an amanah(trust) from Allah and we will be asked about how we took care of this blessing that he
has given us.

3. Be Safe

Keep our school
environment and its
students safe.

The Qur'an says, "Eat of the good foods We have provided for you." (7:160)
The Qur'an says, O you people! Eat of what is on earth lawful and good!" (2:168)

The Prophet(saw) said There are two blessings that people fail to make the most of: good health and free

4. Be a Good Muslim

Follow the Quran and
Sunnah.

with one good one every day of the week, inshallah.

We should make our bites smaller and not overstuff ourselves

We should speak calmly with our family members
We should not laugh with our mouths open
We should not play with our food

We should not eat until the person who is oldest, like our parents, eat first
We should only put in our plate what we know we can eat and not more
We must say "Bismillah" and "Allahuma barik lana fi ma razaqtana wa qina athabanar
We should make the intention: "Nawaytul taqawee ala taatillahi taala," or "I intend to eat in
order to gain strength in the ta'ah or obeidiance of Allah (SWT)."

We should eat only when we are hungry
We should make sure that the food we prepare is totally halal, clean and healthy
We should eat with our family members
We should wash our hands

We should not leave anything on our plates
We should definitely not throw food away
