Abstract: Modern concept of road safety management involves undertake of adequate measures before occurrence of traffic
accidents. Road safety indicators, as traffic accident risk measure, present base for determination of current state of road
safety and they also have important role in road safety management process. Namely, increase or decrease of road safety
indicator value indicates change of traffic accident risk, whose causes are related to chosen indicator. Among indicators
which are related to road users behaviour, indicators considering driver behaviour are mostly analysed (speed, alcohol drive,
usage of protection system elements etc.), while indicators considering pedestrians are neglected. In this paper, research
methodology is presented for two indicators: indicators which considers relationship between pedestrian and drivers (% of
drivers which give right of way to pedestrians at not signalized pedestrian crossings) and indicator which considers
pedestrian behaviour at signalized pedestrian crossings (% of pedestrians which cross street during red pedestrian light at
signalized pedestrian crossings). Value of indicators is calculated using data from two different locations for each indicator in
the city of Belgrade, and the results of that research are presented in this paper.
