You can use guidelines taken from various power quality standards.
For low voltage, power distribution, where voltage sensitive loads are mixed with
harmonic producing loads like rectifiers in motor drives, 5% THDv is a typical
guideline to follow.
For low voltage, dedicated systems, where sensitive loads are not part of the mix,
higher distortion might be acceptable. A guideline of 8% THDv might be
considered.

Check with the manufacturer of the gas turbine alternator to verify their design for
harmonic losses. Typically, alternators are designed based on a maximum
temperature rise. When voltage and current distortion levels are high, the harmonic
losses in the alternator will be greater. This will cause the machine to reach its
temperature rise limit at a lower loading level than rated. If you intend to operate
the alternator at its rated values and get maximum service life from the insulation
system, then the system distortion levels will need to be controlled to be less than
manufacture's design limits.

You should check individual harmonic distortion, sometime more than 5%.
