formation of national planning commission in 1938, congress accepted that
apart from colonial domination the internal socio-economic structure was
responsible for poverty and misery,

structure to congress, workers and peasants helped in forming trade unions

and working class struggle, strong links to revolutionary terrorist than kept
national conscious esp among youth alive, left also gave platform to women
and youth by forming all India women conference and all India students
federation, they were impatient was their drawback, their break with
congress after civil disobedience movement, were unable to keep its
promises, failed to est. hegemony of socialist parties on national parties and
failed to show ideological and tactical flexibility against right wing
congressmen, it imposed armed struggle than non violence. But it helped to
form ideology that guided india principle after independence and in

2) Do you think that the Quit India movement was a Spontaneous
Revolution?

preparation started after congress ministry resigned, constructive

work, selecting right person, organisational structure etc. people were

impatient because of Japanese aggression in NE and rising prices of
commodities and required means to liberate their energies, unlike other
movements it didnt provided the exact activities that are to be taken,
spontaneous revolution is one where there is no organisational structure and
ideology but in this case there was presence of both, it can be called

aggressive because leaders were arrested and movement become leaderless,

barring few examples the movement in many parts remained non violent.
Gandian ideology of village governance was upheld by jatiya sarkar for
constructive and relief work in Bengal, prati sarkar in satara, Gandhi
marriages and nyaya mandal to solve disputes. Thus though this movement
was different from previous movements people used the pre- existing
techniques and ideology taught by their leaders. Thus the movement can be
called aggressive in action than spontaneous.
