Removable User Identity

Module
Removable User Identity Module (R-UIM)
Equivalent to the 3GPP SIM card for cdma2000 devices
Like the SIM, the R-UIM is a physical card
Subscription and operational data are stored on the card
including
NAM parameters
Roaming list
Security parameters

R-UIM

Other items such as a user phonebook may also be stored

Feature development has ended (new features for CSIM only)

A multimode R-UIM may include GSM parameters

Allows a single physical card in a multimode device
Dont need to have multiple slots for multiple cards

Multimode System Selection (MMSS) parameters are not

supported on the R-UIM

Card and Card Applications
CSIM

Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC)

The 3GPP2 UICC is an extension of the 3GPP UICC

The UICC is a multi-application security platform
CSIM, USIM, ISIM can all exist on a single UICC
Multimode System Selection Parameters are supported
