CREATE A TARPAULIN USING PHOTOSHOP CS3

Follow these steps:


1. Click File menu then click New.

2.A new window will display. Set the Width = 4 inches; Height = 6
inches; Resolution = 300 pixels/inch; Color Mode = RGB Color, 8
bit; Background Contents = Transparent then clickOK button.

3.Press 2 times the Ctrl + keys simultaneously in the keyboard to zoom


your layout into 50%.
4.Press Ctrl A keys simultaneously in the keyboard to select the entire
layout.
5.Click the Foreground Color. A new window will load.

6.Enter this color

7.Click the Brush Tool and then fill the entire layout into color blue using
your brush tool.

8.Click the Move Tool and press Ctrl D simultaneously in the keyboard
to de-select the selected
design.

9.From the left of the Ruler click and drag the ruler into your design and
align at 2 inches.

10.From the top of the Ruler click and drag the ruler pointed at 1
cm and 10 cm.
11.From the left of the Ruler click and drag the ruler pointed at 2
cm and 11 cm.
12.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image logo.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of

13. Use the Crop Tool and crop the image to remove the extra part of
the image.

14.Click the Magic Eraser Tool and erase the white background of the
logo.
15.Press Ctrl A to select the image and press Ctrl C in the keyboard to
copy the image.
16.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it logo. Then paste the logo into your layout by pressing Ctrl V in the
keyboard.
17.Press Ctrl T in your keyboard to resize the image. Then
press Enter when youre done resizing.
18.Drag the image into the top left portion of your layout using Move
Tool.

STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT THE HARVARD UNIVERSITY TEXT


1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag the ruler into your design
aligns at 2cm.
2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag the ruler into your design
aligns at 12cm.
3.Click the Horizontal Type Tool.

4.Set the following:


1.font style: Tahoma
2.font weight: Bold
3.font size: 19 pt
4.text color: c61717
and type HARVARD UNIVERSITY in BIG LETTER format.

5.From the top of the Ruler click and drag the ruler into your design
aligns at 6 cm.
6.From the left of the Ruler click and drag the ruler into your design
aligns at 1 inch.
7.Click the Horizontal Type Tool. Set the font size: 8 pt, text
color: 000000 -> equivalent toblack color. Then type the following text
below:

STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT THE WHITE BACKGROUND OF THE
SCHOOL IMAGE
1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 13
cm and 2.6 inches.

2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 7
cm and 3.9 inches.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it school-bg.
4.Change the foreground color into white or enter this color code: ffffff into
the text box. Then click OK button.
5.Click the Rounded Rectangle Tool and design it starts at left 7
cm to 3.9 inches.
6.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image school.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the school.jpeg image then click Openbutton.
7.Press Ctrl A to select the image, then Ctrl C to copy the image.
Minimize your sub-window.
8.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it school.
9.Then paste the school image into your main layout using Ctrl V.
10.Resize the image using Ctrl T. (Refer to the sample output about the
positioning of the image)
11.Done.
STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT THE WHITE BACKGROUND OF THE
FIRST STUDENT
1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 2.7
inches and 3.7 inches.
2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 4
cm and 1.15 inches.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it stud1-bg.
4.Click the Rounded Rectangle Tool and design it starts at left 4
cm to 1.15 inches.
5.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image stud1.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the stud1.jpeg image then click Openbutton.

SECOND STUDENT
1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 2.7
inches and 3.7 inches.
2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 2.1
inches and 3.12 inches.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it stud2-bg.
4.Click the Rounded Rectangle Tool and design it starts at left 2.1
inches to 3.12 inches.

5.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image stud2.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the stud2.jpeg image then click Openbutton.
6.Press Ctrl A to select the image, then Ctrl C to copy the image.
Minimize your sub-window.
7.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it stud2.
8.Then paste the student2 image into your main layout using Ctrl V.
9.Resize the image using Ctrl T. (Refer to the sample output about the
positioning of the image)
10.Done.
STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT THE LINE SEPARATOR
1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 3.8
inches and 3.9 inches.
2.Click the Rounded Rectangle Tool and design it starts at top 3.8
inches to 3.9 inches.

1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 3.10
inches.
2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 1.4
inches.
3.Click the Horizontal Type Tool.
4.Set the font size: 11 pt, text color: ee0707.
5.Then type COURSES OFFERED in big letter format and align at left 1.4
inches and top 3.10 inches.

1.From the top of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 3.13
inches, 4.7 inches,
4.8 inches, 5.2 inches, 5.3 inches, 5.13 inches.
2.From the left of the Ruler click and drag into your design aligns at 1.6
inches and 3.6 inches.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it course1.
4.Click the Rounded Rectangle Tool and design it starts at left 1.6
inches to 3.6 inches.
5.Click the course1 layer found at the right side of your window, right click
the course1 layer then click Duplicate Layer to duplicate the layer and
name it course2. Click OK button.
6.Use Move Tool to drag the course2 duplicated layer starts at 4.8
inches. Click course2 layer and right click find Duplicate Layer and
name it course3. Click OK button.
7.Use then the Move Tool to drag the course3 duplicated layer starts
at 5.3 inches.
8.Done.

STEPS ON HOW TO INSERT IMAGES LIKE THE LAPTOP, DOCTOR,


and BUSINESS IMAGES
For laptop image.
1.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image laptop.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the laptop.jpeg image then click Openbutton.
2.Click then the Magic Eraser Tool and erase the white background of
your laptop image.
3.Press Ctrl A to select the image, then press Ctrl C to copy the image.
Minimize your sub- window.
4.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it laptop.
5.Paste then the copied image into that layer using Ctrl V.
6.Use Move Tool to move your image.
7.Resize your image using Ctrl T. (Refer to the sample output about the
positioning of the image)
8.Done.
For doctor image
1.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image doctor.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the doctor.jpeg image then click Openbutton.
2.Press Ctrl A to select the image, then press Ctrl C to copy the image.
Minimize your sub- window.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it doctor.
4.Paste then the copied image into that layer using Ctrl V.
5.Resize your image using Ctrl T if needed. (Refer to the sample output
about the positioning of the image)
6.Done.
For business image
1.Click File Menu -> Open and locate the image business.jpeg found at
your Desktop. The name of the folder where the image resides is for
photoshop. Click the business.jpeg image then clickOpen button.

2.Press Ctrl A to select the image, then press Ctrl C to copy the image.
Minimize your sub- window.
3.Click Layer Menu -> New > Layer, to create a new layer and name
it business.
4.Paste then the copied image into that layer using Ctrl V.
5.Resize your image using Ctrl T if needed. (Refer to the sample output
about the positioning of the image)
6.Done.
