2014 Spring Kickoff Invitational


Date:

Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th, 2014

Time:

Diving (Events #17, 18, 19, 20) and 500 yd Freestyle (Events #29, 30, 31, 32) will be
held on Friday, March 7th. Warm-ups begin at 3:30 pm.
All other Events will be held on Saturday, March 8th. Warm-ups will begin at 7:30 am.
Competition starts at 9:00 am.

Location:

Palo Alto High School, 50 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto, CA 94301.

Course:

8 lanes, 25 yard, heated pool. Warm-up/Warm-down lanes will be available.

Rules:

2013 National Federation Rules apply to all events.

Entry Fee:

$75 per team in each division (Boys JV, Girls JV, Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity)
$250 for all 4 teams combined.
Fees should be submitted no later than Friday, February 24. Please make checks
payable to Palo Alto High School and send to the attention of:

Entries:

Entries are due by Sunday, March 1st. Changes will be allowed until Wednesday,
March 5th, at 5:00 pm. Entries via Hytek files are preferred. Manual entry forms are
available upon request. E-mail entries should be sent to Christopher Viola at

christopherviola@gmail.com .
Individual swimmers may compete in a total of 5 events. A team may submit no more
than 5 entries per individual event. A team may submit no more than 3 relay teams per
relay event. Relay times for seeding are due at the same time as all other entries.
Diving will follow the 6 dive format for both Varsity and JV divisions. At least 3 dives
must be from one of the 5 groups. There are no required dives.

Scoring:

Points will be awarded for 1st through 10th place for both individual and relay events.
Scoring will be 12, 10, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for individual events. A maximum of 4
swimmers per team will be scored. Relays will score double points, but only the fastest
relay squad for each team will be scored.

Awards:

An award will be given to the First Place Team in each division (Boys JV, Girls JV, Boys
Varsity, Girls Varsity.)

Concessions: Teams should plan on providing their own snacks and/or lunches for this meet. There
will not be a concession stand at this meet.
