• General
Interview clients and prepare for hearings; research and draft filings,
memoranda of law and related documents; supervise other attorneys
in research and writing. Represent clients in hearings and appeals.
Assist clients with EEOC complaints; oversee phone interviews with
EEOC officers; supplement and clarify client response and rebuttal.
• Non-Litigation:
Staff legal hotline for medical association clients: respond to member
questions and research issues involved; apply legal experience to a
variety of questions from all states; interpret legislation for clients
from disparate backgrounds. Provide information in various
family/child situations; address staff at local child/parent
development centers regarding medical/psychological ethics
issues. Supervise “Parlor Room” meetings between large
corporations in the process of merging to resolve problems and
advise on correct conduct and ensure no anti-competitive behavior
ensues. Act as consultant for local 501(c)(7) and 501(c)(3)
organizations; facilitate their understanding of legal requirements
and expectations of that status; incorporate and prepare applications
for state and federal non-profit status. Proofread and edit.

Researched and evaluated 500+ cases; briefed relevant findings and July 1997
uploaded to association's web site; prepared memorandum for vice
president of association on recent case and its likely effect on the
industry; drafted broad-based defensive brief for use by association
in future liability suits, adaptable to multiple jurisdictions.

Interviewed clients for wills and trusts; drafted documents related to
estate planning, including wills, living trusts, testamentary trusts,
and transfer of funds.
