The BRIT School is a specialist Performing Arts and Technology School that delivers a
Creative arts, Performing arts and Academic curriculum.
What are the Creative Arts?
The Creative Industries were defined in the Governments 2001 Creative Industries Mapping Document
as those industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a
potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property.

BRIT School students
took up their
chosen place within:
1) Higher
education- Creative
Arts students
were accepted onto a
range of
courses at excellent
institutions such as Central Saint Martins, Chelsea School of Art, Hertfordshire, Goldsmiths,
Bournemouth and Falmouth Universities.
2) Employment or Training- Creative Arts students have gained employment with the prestigious
Albert Hall, PRG, White Light and Britannia Row.
In recent years the creative economy workforce has been growing three times more rapidly than the UK
workforce as a whole and the number of creative jobs grew on average by 3.6 per cent per year.
43% per cent of the UKs creative economy workforce is centred in London and the South East areas.
