HOW TO SHIP A DOG/CAT VIA CEBU PACIFIC CARGO

(Manila to Iloilo)
based on June 2014
Why Cebu Pacific?
Because all aircraft flying to Iloilo have ventilation in their cargo, no ventilation means
no animal is allowed to take the flight.
PAL Express has only one or two aircraft that fly Iloilo has ventilation. If you took
PALEx, chances are you will go back to the airport to pick-up your pet because they changed
the aircraft that has no ventilation or you go to CebuPac to start all over the process.
What flight to take?
Dogs and cats are allowed to take all the flights except during summer season; they
only allow dogs/cats to take the first flight, that is 4:20AM and the last two evening flights,
6:45 and 7:30PM. If you are planning to take the first flight, you may bring your dog/cat as
early as 1AM so you have at least an hour to process the paper works prior to 2AM check-in.
Taking the evening flight is a bit stressful for you and your pet because of the summer heat,
do not bring your dog/cat before 4PM because they will not accept early check-in.
Where is Cebu Pacific Cargo?

Step 1. Secure Shippers Form at point A, fill it up and have your crate and dog weighed
and measured.

Step 2. Proceed to point B and surrender an ID together with the Shippers Form at Window
1 and pay P50 to get your Gate Pass. Only passengers with tickets are allowed to have
access to the Quarantine.

Step 3. Proceed to point C where Quarantine is and submit the Vaccination Card with an
updated anti-rabies sticker. Vaccination at least a month before shipping is recommended.
The vet will question newly vaccinated pet that might lead you back home. Puppies/Kittens
under 3 months old that has no vaccination are required to secure a medical certificate from
your veterinarian. Those who wish to take the first flight may process this a day or two
before the flight because the assigned personnel at the Quarantine are usually hard to find
during the wee hours. Approved Quarantine Form is good for three days.
Step 4. Return the Gate Pass to point B to claim your ID. Doing this lastly might lead to
forgetting it. Point B is facing Domestic Road, parking or waiting is not allowed.
Step 5. Proceed to point A again and have the shippers form approved by the assigned
personnel before falling in line at windows 1 to 4.
Step 6. Pay at the Cashier. You will be given stickers to be attached on the crate. Stick it
well and bid farewell to your pet.
Note:
Wear comfortable shoes! Going to points A, B, C, B and A is like one hell of a workout!
Do not feed your dog/cat at least 12 hours before the flight.
Pets that are crate trained will take the flight with a breeze.
Crate should be sturdy enough to withstand turbulence during the flight.
Consult your vet if you want to administer anti-emetic.
Put absorbent materials such as towel/mat to absorb liquid from water bottle spillage,
cooling mats, vomitus and urine.
Make sure to put water bottle feeder and cooling mat or ice pack to prevent heat
stroke.
