Working as a RF Engineer my major responsibilities were:

RF Optimization of BSCs of major cities along with worst cells analysis to monitor, maintain and improve the
KPIs at Cell, BSC & Network level.
Hard optimization if required to fine tune the service area e.g. antenna height reduction, tilting &
azimuths change in order to meet predicted performance.
Log files analysis and troubleshooting for coverage and quality issues.
Frequency tuning for the removal of adjacent and co‐channel interference using Genex Nastar,Atoll.
Neighbor Audit using NCS, NOX, MRR.
Creation and verification of Integration site Data Transcripts and modifying them for any change in the site
configuration.
EDGE/GPRS performance testing, optimization and feature implementation.
Conducting DT of newly integrated MACRO/MICRO sites for design verification, hardware issues, sector
and or band swapping.
After performing DT of newly integrated site, the report is sent along with recommendations using
Genex Probe and Genex Assitant to Cell Planning to ensure good coverage, quality, healthy frequency
& neighbor plan & healthy hardware.
Cluster DT of Major cities and giving recommendation on bad Quality patches, call setup failures,
dropped calls & HO failures.
Customer complaints Resolution.
Carry out RF KPI Benchmarking.
Management of HND (Huawei Network Database) and updating it on daily basis to keep track of any
changes made in the network.
Creation of Nastar workspaces and Genex cell files and incorporating and updating any changes in the
radio network.
Analyzing Layer 3 messages & Layer 2 controls to find cause of handover failures, blocked calls, dropped calls
& abnormal network behaviors.
Frequency Scanning and Interference Scanning using DTI Lx Scanner with Genex Probe v2.2.
Alarms monitoring & escalation using Huawei OSS applications like LMT,M2000,BSC 6000.
