Week at a Glance
Exhibit 1: Market Snapshot

Bourse gains WoW

This week the CSE turned around to make gains after a straight week of market
downturn. The WoW gain for the short week was 1.1% in the ASI with the index
closing at 6,948.14. The S&P SL20 index was flat at 3,909.58. The movement of the
index was on thinner volumes in comparison. The weekly turnover was 2.47bn which
was 43% lower WoW. Interestingly the 31st March effect was an absentee this financial year as most stock prices stayed low.

Overall sentiments improve

The big caps made mild improvements on thin volumes compared to last weeks
drop. We saw selling pressure mounting on shares like JKH and COMB but the overall
price levels maintained. There was some positive sentiment with the hope of the
revival of GSP+ which would improve the garment sector margins and competitiveness in the EU. The slight dip in the secondary market bond rates too we believe
aided the sentiment. JKH warrants reached a 52- week low with the current low
prices of the share.

We continue to advise being long on fundamentally stronger stocks shielding your

investment from political volatility. We see value in JKH, SAMP, VPEL, RCL and CDB
that give an adequate margin of safety from our research coverage.
