Course Objectives:

To introduce the concepts of physiology and the electrical components of a


biomedical system
To discuss the measurement of physiological parameters.
To describe different therapeutic methods of treatment where electrical, medical
equipments are a vital part of the method and their necessary instrumentation.

Course Outcomes:
At the end of the program the student must be able to:

Explain the concepts of physiology and the electrical components of a biomedical


system.
Have a sound knowledge of medical terminology relevant for biomedical
instrumentation.
Evaluate and improve different measurement types of physiological parameters.
Analyze the concepts of imaging system and various therapeutic equipments used
in medicine.
