Soekarno once opened the gate to
another stage of freedom and solidarity
amongst a new Asian and a new
African. The city preserves that exact
documentary to be displayed for the
first time after a long concealment in
untouched archive. Indonesia and other
29 participating nations came up with
a shared determination, a renowned
declaration, named Dasasila Bandung or
Bandung Declaration.

Note
Venues are subject to change depending on the number of
participants registered in line with the space availability in the
assorted malls.
Event staging in Trans Studio Mall, the event will be annexed
with Bandung 1955: Photo Exhibition.
There will be around 27 performances per day, whereby 20
(twenty) of them are international ones, 5 (five) are national,
and 2 (two) are local.
Each performer will be allocated to perform for around 15
minutes, plus 3 minutes for preparation.

Performers
Play your Angklung at the Guinness
World Records Bandung, Ocean of
Angklung.
The event aims to foster solidarity
and enthusiasm in celebrating the
60th commemoration of Asian African
Conference. Alongside this goal, the
event will be a historic one as it attempts
to break world record on Angklung
performing enactment with 20,000
Angklung performers directed by a young
conductor.

All Indonesian citizens in 33 provinces, especially those living in
Bandung and come to visit Bandung in the carnival.
Some 20,000 performers from schools and colleges, public at large,
including attending participants who partake in the carnival.

rundown
Pre Event: after recruiting 20,000 volunteers who will be
performing Angklung ensembles, Guinness World Records
officer will run verification process as the participants are
led to the stadium.
Big Bang: Angklungs are distributed to all participants
and the show will be opened by an opening performance.
Following to that last part, the Guinness World Records
judge will commence the trials and final play.
Post Event: Closing of the world record breaking process
and 20,000 balloons will be set free.

Stadium, one of the citys soccer fields large
enough to accommodate all participants.

Festival

This specific festivity marks the peak of


the whole series of events, displaying the
most elaborated costumes and percussion
ensembles from around the world by
participating cultural delegates invited to
this particular event. Spectacular costume
is a must. Those bringing percussion
ensembles must as well perform the
ultimate walking percussion performance.
This event will be one of the signatures
of a creative city, especially for Bandung,
involving around 1.000 participants.

When the World Says Sampurasun
This closing event is made impressive in
its nature to leave a memorable footprint
in the series of events. It is a conclusion
of cultural dissemination for the locals
and other international participants. At
this important moment, communities
and participants mingle in harmony to
exchange experiences and memorable
moments.

International Culture Festival


International and Indonesian pavilions will be provided to see and
be seen. Cultural values including culinary delights are there to be
introduced and shared. A live demo and fun games are scheduled to
be a part of the event.
Indonesian Cultural Talkshow
An event to bring youths to another level of issue to consider such
as cultural and heritage footprints, convening their communities and
groups into productive and collaborative generation to inspire others.
Cultural Performances
It is a collaborative engagement from Indonesian cultural ensembles
and international ones, displaying traditional and contemporary
performances. There are traditional dances, music performances, and
modern band playing.
All Indonesian Student Dance Competition
Students from around the country will compete to bring back a
trophy from the Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, a symbol of new
generations creative mind.
