Babusar Pass
Babusar Pass or Babusar Top is a mountain pass at the north of the 150 km. (93 miles)
long Kaghan Valley connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram
Highway (KKH). It is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley that can be easily accessed by
cars.
Bolan Pass
The Boln Pass is a mountain pass through the Toba Kakar Range of Balochistan province
in western Pakistan, 120 kilometres from the Afghanistan border. It connects Sibi with
Quetta both by road and railway. The pass itself is made up of a number of narrow gorges
and stretches 89 km (55 miles) from Rindli north to Darwza near Kolpur in the Balochistan
province of Pakistan.
Chaprot Pass
Chaprot Pass is a mountain pass to the northeast of Mehrbani Peak 5,639 metres in the
northwest of Chaprot. Chaprote is one of the earliest villages in Hunza Nager District Of
Gilgit.It is famous for its beauty and brave people.

Gondogoro Pass
Gondogoro Pass is the mountain pass on the Gondogoro Glacier near Vigne Glacier. From
the Southern side, pass descends into the Hushe village which is the last human settlement
of the Ghangche District of northern Pakistan. To climb the pass, mostly climbers and
trekkers prefer to start from the Northern side which is easy and connected with the Vigne
Glacier.
Gumal Pass
Gomal Pass is a mountain pass on the Durand Line between Afghanistan and the
southeastern portion of South Waziristan in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
It takes its name from the Gomal River and is midway between the legendary Khyber
Pass and the Bolan Pass.
Hayal Pass
Hayal Pass is a high mountain pass to the north of Shani Peak in Naltar Valley. The pass
lies in the west of Naltar Pass.
Hispar Pass
Hispar Pass (or Hispar La) is a high-altitude, non-technical mountain pass in the
Karakoram Range in Pakistan. At the pass, the Biafo Glacier (63 km. long) and Hispar
Glacier (49 km long) meet to form the world's longest glacial traverse outside of the Polar
Regions,
Karakar Pass
Karakar Pass is a mountain pass in the Hindu Kush in Pakistan. From the top of the pass,
one can view Buner Valley. It was at this pass that the Emperor Akbar lost most of his 8000man army in an abortive attempt to invade Swat in 1586.
The 45 km-long road from Pir Baba (RA) to Barikot passes through Mount Ilam rising
through mature pine forests to Karakar Pass.
This pass was the shortest and quickest way into northern India from the Tarim Basin, and
one that was usually open all year, but was extremely dangerous and only suited for
travelers on foot.
Kohat Pass
Kohat Pass is a mountain pass in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan, connecting
Kohat with Peshawar, crossing the Khigana Mountains.
As the road to the pass is steep and too narrow for large vehicles, the Kohat Tunnel was
constructed and opened in June 2003.

pass to enter Chitral,
Lowari Top is closed by snow from late November to late May every year. During this time,
jeeps cannot cross so men must travel by foot. This is dangerous, as there are high
mountains on each side of Lowari Top, and a deadly avalanche can come at any moment
without warning.
Nevertheless, Lowari Top remains popular because it is the shortest route from Chitral to
Peshawar. The other way would be down the Kunar River to Jalalabad through hostile
Afghan Territory or the much longer route across Shandur Top to Gilgit.
Malakand Pass

Pakistan. The pass road begins at Dargai. The road across the pass is in good condition,
but is always crowded with a continuous stream of trucks. From a viewpoint about one
kilometer before the top of the pass, one can see the Swat Canal in the valley below. It was
built by the British to channel water from the Swat River through a tunnel under the
Malakand Pass to the plains around Mardan.
The Mintaka Pass or Mingteke Pass is a mountain pass in the Karakorum Mountains,
between Pakistan and Xinjiang in China. In ancient times, the Mintaka Pass and the
nearby Kilik Pass were the two main access points into the Upper Hunza Valley from the
north.

Naltar Pass
Naltar Pass is a mountain pass to the north of Shani Peak in Naltar Valley in Pakistan. The
pass lies west of Chaprot Pass and east of Hayal Pass.
Shandur Top
Shandur Top is located in Chitral Pakistan. Shandur is often called the 'Roof of the World'.
The top is flat, a plateau and can be crossed between late April and early November. The
grade is very gradual, and the area is crossed by small streams of waters during summer
that looks plentiful. Shandur Pass is one of the major mountain passes between Chitral and
Gilgit-Baltistan
