Track AGM018 to AGM019
This document is valid for the Windows 2003 based Adjunct Processor (AP).
It specifies the update of APM, APIO & STS AP software. The update is from
5/LZY 242 060/21 R1F (APG40 One Track AGM018) to 5/LZY 242 060/21
R1G (APG40 One Track AGM019 Rev C) for APG40 with C/2 LBB and from
5/LZY 242 060/41 R1F (APG40 One Track AGM018) to 5/LZY 242 060/41
R1G (APG40 One Track AGM019 Rev C) for APG40 with C/4 LBB.
Application
This section contains the applicability of the document on various
configurations.
This document is applicable for the update of APG40 software from AGM018
to AGM019 on C/2 and C/4 AP1 configurations.
Note: If the node base level before update of AGM019 is AGM018 +
UAM002 then installation of UAM002 should be done again after
updating the node to AGM019 (TR HK91059).

This update procedure is divided into four main steps:

Update time:
The complete installation including FCR upgrade with 15 minutes supervision
period and without burbackup will take approximately 193 minutes for C/2 and
156 minutes for C/4 machines.
4.2
Update Package
The AGM019 package size is 450 MB.
The C:\temp, and F:\temp are used during the update and these must exist.
The free disk space needed during the installation is 600 MB on C and F
drives and 800 MB on G drive. The package should be stored on G:\Ftpvol.
G:\ftpvol, F:\TEMP and C:\TEMP should be empty before the start of the
Installation procedure.
Necessary package fetched from GASK archive as PKZIP (WINZIP) format
019/19099-5/LZY242060 Revision E. The name of the update installation
package file may vary depending on which tool is used when fetching it from
GASK. In this document named as 019_19099-5_LZY242060_E.zip.
Package information can be found in Ref [3] 1551-5/LZY 242 060/1 Uen
Reference Package for APG40 one track AP1 AGM019 for both C/2 and C/4
LBB.
4.3
Known bugs and limitations
If the update is performed during the DST period of a timezone then

there is a jump of 1 hour in the scheduled downloads for engine and
signatures. Refer TR HK23216 for details.
Design rule violation in printout for swrprint command for CPHWBIN

(CNI : 40/2-178). Refer TR HK24129 for details.
Design rule violation in printout for swrprint command for

IPNA_INETBIN(CNI: 30/4-920). Refer TR HK24133 for details.
Tapes get ejected at C/2 sites when loading package. CNI 10922APZ212 30/4-1076, which installs the tape firmware version L411 on
APG40 C/2 systems, will eject any medium present in the tape drive.
MKTR does not fetch FCR logs. Refer TR HK28809

AGM019 ACL are not according to design rule. By the way, there are
no drawbacks for customer application. Refer TR HK28561 for details.
After Update while taking backup an error message is given

"SetFileSecurity on D:\Program Files\F-Secure\ssh server\hostkey
returned error 5 "
The printout will not harm the backup operation that will be completed
successfully. Refer TR HK14453 for details.
4.4
Possible issues happened sporadically when installing specific

packages.
A P4.1 installation failure has been verified when the green LED on tape
drive was always OFF and the amber LED was always ON (none of them
were flashing).
The amber LED Light indicates a "Media Caution" signaled for this DAT
drive prior to the upgrade, in details it means:
Flash Amber: Cartridge is near the end of its life or the heads need
cleaning.
Steady Amber: Hard fault
The drive monitors the number of correctable errors that occur during
reading and writing.
If the number of errors grows excessively, it can mean that the tape is
nearing the end of its useful life, or that the tape heads need cleaning.
The Media Caution signal is cleared when a new tape is loaded or when
the drive is power-cycled

Health Check
Before starting the update run the latest revision of ALAN tool and correct
the faults as indicated. Run the ALAN after update and compare the
analysis results.
Before starting the update execute the following command to check that
the account password doesnot expires during the update

NOTE: The logon of a node shall be performed as a user, remotely by using
telnet or Winfiol .This user can be administrator. It can also be another user
that belongs to the groups Administrators & Domain Admins .
Check using following commands whether the user being used to do the
update belongs to the group Domain Admins

Security
Ericsson is advising against using insecure access protocols such as MTS,
FTP and Telnet, recommending all customers to use SFTP and SSH as
standard protocols when communicating with the APG. New APG systems
are delivered with the insecure access protocols disabled.
The system should be configured as required by the customer. A customer
requirement that insecure access protocols should be turned on should be
documented in a written statement.
The current status of the access protocols is available by following the
OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTION : 11/154 31-CNZ 222 89 Uen A
Blocking of Insecure Protocols, Verify.
The insecure access protocols are turned off by following the
OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTION 9/154 31-CNZ 222 89 Uen A Blocking of
Insecure Protocols, Initiate.
The insecure access protocols should only be turned on if the customer has
explicitly stated that. Usually this implies that the other nodes in the customer
network have insecure protocols enabled.

Blocking of Insecure Protocols, End. Note that it can take minutes before
the change is deployed in the whole APG.

Armenian Standard Time

Note Updates for the Jerusalem time zone are not included in the Windows
Vista package for this update. The Jerusalem time zone updates have been
