Luzon left already
o Was transferred to the next ship

o Rizal was not allowed to land in
Manila but visitors were allowed
o Katipunan made an attempt to
rescue him but he refused to be
rescued
Rizal remained aboard the Castilla from Aug
6 to Sept 2
On Sept 2
o Rizal was transferred to Isla de
Panay

Katipunan

Katipunan was finally discovered and on


Aug 23 1896 the Philippine Revolution
broke out
Rumors circulated that Rizal was involved
with the Katipunan
o Despite the events, Rizal received a
letter from Gov Blanco wishin him
happiness
