Technical Manual-System Parameters

Chapter 2 Public Parameters

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 065535. The default value is 2000. When one
of the following situations arises, the subscriber needs to modify this parameter.
1)

When a customer wants a board to support conversation by more than 2,000

intelligent network (IN) subscribers at the same time, the dialog ID range needs
to be expanded.

2.2.24 P23Maximum SCTP ASSOC

I. Purpose of Parameter
It indicates the maximum number of SCTP connections supported by the BSG board.
This parameter is used to apply for an SCTP memory at the time of initialization.

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 1255. The default value is 128. When one of
the following situations arises, the subscriber needs to modify this parameter.
1)

If SCTP connection resources are insufficient, application modules (such as

M2UA, M3UA, IUA and V5UA) report the connection fails and the failure cause
value is insufficient connection resources. Please note that, since the SoftX3000
as ASP side can access multiple types of terminals, it is best for the SoftX3000
to use SCTP connections as a client. If it must act as a server, it is best for each
application to provide no more than one server port ID to the exterior. The server
also occupies connection resources. If connection resources are insufficient in
this case, you need to expand this parameter.

2.2.25 P24Maximum SCTP Stream

I. Purpose of Parameter
It is used to specify the default number of input/output streams of SCTP connection.

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 564. The default value is 255. When one of the
following situations arises, the subscriber needs to modify this parameter.
Since the impact is minor even if the number of streams is small, we recommend
subscribers not modify this parameter.

Technical Manual-System Parameters

U-SYS SoftX3000 SoftSwitch System

Chapter 2 Public Parameters

2.2.26 P25Maximum SCTP TWND

I. Purpose of Parameter
It is used to specify the size of the memory of the transmission window applied for by
each SCTP. The unit is KB.

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 10255. The default value is 72. When one of
the following situations arises, the subscriber needs to modify this parameter.
When applications using SCTP connections often report link congestion, the
parameter needs to be expanded. However, the modification should be modest;
otherwise, too much memory will be occupied, and the board will not be able to run
normally.

2.2.27 P26Maximum SCTP RWND

I. Purpose of Parameter
It is used to specify the size of the memory of the receiving window applied for by
each SCTP. The unit is KB.

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 0255. The default value is 18. When one of the
following situations arises, the subscriber needs to modify this parameter.
Generally, when the size of the memory of the transmission window is increased, that
of the receiving window should also be expanded approximately by one-fourth of the
increase for the transmission window. If the increase for the transmission window is
small, the size of the memory of the receiving window can remain unchanged.

2.2.28 P27Maximum SCTP Connected Segment Number

I. Purpose of Parameter
It indicates the maximum number of SCTP connected segments. This is not used in
the fixed network version.

II. Principle of Parameter Modification

The value range of this parameter is 065535. The default value is 4000. There is no
need to modify it.
