whicharerelevanttotheprocessandwouldbenewtoMPAprocessscope.3.Exclusionsfromthisdocument:Thisdocumentdoesnotgetintodetailsofmaintenanceorder
processingtoagreatdepthasitisunderstoodthatusersareadeptintheprocess.Integrationpointsarehoweverdetailedwhereverrelevant.4.TerminologiesandProcess:
MasterInspectionCharacteristics(MIC):MasterInspectionCharacteristicssignifiesthecharacteristicsofamaterial/TestEquipmentwhichwillbeobservedduringInspection
andthevalueofthesameTestrecorded.Forexample:InthisdocumentwehaveconsideredtheTestEquipmentasaPressureGaugewhosekeyInspectioncharacteristic(MIC)
wouldbePressurereading(wouldincludeLowerReading,UpperReading,MeanReadingifrelevant).MasterInspectionCharacteristicsforTestEquipmentmanagement
shouldpreferablybemaintainedasmasterdatainSAPtofacilitateaccurateandseamlessCalibrationManagementprocess.Inspectiontype:Inspectiontypeisaterm
introducedfromQMmodule.ItsimplyreferstothesourceofInspection.Forexample:IfthesourceofQualityinspectionisGoodsreceipt,Inspectiontypeis01,ifitis
Productionreceiptitis04,forTestEquipmentCalibrationworkitis14andsoon.ForCalibration(TestEquipmentManagement)scenario,inspectiontype14shouldbeused,
asdemonstratedinthisdocument.Inspectionpoint:Inspectionpointsareusedtoidentifyobjectsunderinspection.ForexampleInspectionpointtoidentifysamples,
InspectionpointtoidentifyMaintenanceobjects,freelydefinedInspectionpointsandsoon.Inspectionpoint300isusedtoidentifyEquipmentsforCalibrationinStandardSAP
system.Aconfigurationsnapshotbelow:InspectionLot:InspectionLotsaregeneratedonasamplebasedonaspecifictriggerormanually.Incalibrationwork,InspectionLot
onaTestEquipment(usingFixedsampleofquantity1)wouldbecreatedwhenaCalibrationworkorderisreleased.InspectionLotNo14xxxxxxxx..willbegeneratedwith

2.ResultRecording&Usagedecision:ResultrecordingiscarriedoutontheInspectionLotgenerated.Duringresultrecording,thevalueoftheMICasobservedduring
Calibration/Inspectionisrecordedinthesystem.ResultrecordingisfollowedbyValuationofsampleandUsagedecisiononthesample.InCalibrationwork,asdetailedlaterin
thedocument,iftheTestEquipmentisfoundtobeunfitforuse,i.e.itsMICreadingsarenotasperstandardornotwithinprescribedtolerances,basedontheUsagedecision,the
