7. chkntfs/x c: d: e: (to stop disk check at win startup)

To disable automatic disk checking at Windows startup through registry, go to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession Manager

In the right hand pane, double click BootExecute.

The default value of the key is autocheck autochk *

* means every drive is checked for consistency. Just add /K:C at the end before *. /K switch will disable
autocheck on C: drive at Windows startup. So the final value should look like this:

autocheck autochk /k:C *

If you want to add more drives, the key should look like this: (disabling C and D drives)

autocheck autochk /k:C /k:D *

If you want to restore everything to default, just replace the key with the default one i.e.,

autocheck autochk *

9. If you have Windows XP, try this. Everyone that has tried it says it works, tell if it
works too. You should be logged as Administrator (not even accounts with
administrator privileges).

1. Start - Run - type gpedit.msc.

2. Expand the Local Computer Policy / Administrative Templates / Network
Branch.
3. Highlight the QoS Packet Scheduler in left panel.
4. In right panel double click the Limit reservable bandwidth setting.5. On setting
tab check the Enabled item.
6. Where it says Bandwidth limit 20% ......change it to read 0.
The problem is,........ XP seems to want to reserve 20% of the bandwidth for
itself..

If possible please reboot

thanks
i also have same problem but i solve it and now i get the download
speed of 51 kbps at a constant.
i use external antena .
for making you have the following material.
1. A coxial Cable
2. A Areail ( Car antena )
3. VNC Ppin

connect one end of cable to antena and another to VNC pin. Conncet VNC
pin to modem.
now the setup complete.

10. This tip is only recommended if you have 256MB RAM or higher.
Step #1 - Identify the IRQ used by the NIC/USB modem
1. Open the System Information tool by running MSINFO32.EXE from the Run
command.
2. Expand System Summary > Hardware Resources > IRQs.
3. Look for the listing made for your NIC (in my case - a Intel® PRO/100+
Management Adapter). Note the IRQ next to the specified line (in my case -
IRQ21).
In case of USB modems you will first need to find the right USB device used by
your modem. Follow these steps:
1. Open the Device Manager tool by running DEVMGMT.MSC from the Run
command (or by right-clicking My Computer > Hardware tab > Device Manager
button).
2. Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus controllers and expand it.
3. Right-click the USB Root Hub and select Properties. Note that you might need
to do so for all listed USB Root hubs (if there are more than one) in order to find
the right one.
4. In the Power tab, look for your USB ADSL modem.
5. In the Resources tab look for the assigned IRQ (in this case - IRQ21).
6. This is the IRQ we're looking for.
Note: IRQs and modem names might vary...
Step #2 - Modify the system.ini file
1. Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command.
11. Here are some registry tricks to speed up any access..
go through this... feel free to contact me ....\

First, open the Windows Registry using Regedit, and (after backing up) navigate
to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Services\Tcpip\ServiceProvider

Note the following lines (all hex dwords):

Class = 008 ( biggrin.gif - indicates that TCP/IP is a name service provider, don't
change
LocalPriority = 1f3 (499) - local names cache
HostsPriority = 1f4 (500) - the HOSTS file
DnsPriority = 7d0 (2000) - DNS
NetbtPriority = 7d1 (2001) - NetBT name-resolution, including WINS
What we're aiming to do is increase the priority of the last 4 settings, while
keeping their order. The valid range is from -32768 to +32767 and lower numbers
mean higher priority compared to other services. What we're aiming at is lower
numbers without going to extremes, something like what's shown below should
work well:
Change the "Priority" lines to:]

LocalPriority = 005 (5) - local names cache

HostsPriority = 006 (6) - the HOSTS file
DnsPriority = 007 (7) - DNS
NetbtPriority = 008 ( biggrin.gif - NetBT name-resolution, including WINS
Reboot for changes to take effect.
12. Don't worry dudes..its quite simple to have great speed and fun.

things what i would suggest is:::::

1)Get the latest "Netscape Navigator 9" and install it. I think its even better than
IE 6,7 or mozilla n all...
coz it loads the page 3 times faster than all....

2)Install IDM(Internet Download Manager) or Flashget. I suggest IDM

coz..mostly used and really powerful..
it can speed up ur download speed to 15-17 kbps.

3)Download a Speed Booster to increse the speed of ur connection.

(i recommend SC Net Speed Booster); there are more powerful tools than this...
While installing it might hang up your comp for some time...no probs its not such
great threat or virus n all...
It actually optimises the way how ur PC sends and recieves data...

You will have to restart ur comp...

13. Download wireshark and use u r net speed will increase 40% more
