INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
Study of ammonia manufacturing process, Kribhco Shyam Fertilizer Limited (May, 2011 - July, 2011)
Description - The aim was to study the manufacturing of ammonia using the Haber process designed and licensed
by Haldor Topsoe. Apart from the overall process, special focus was laid on the working of the
primary reformer unit of the process.
Achievement -The traning cell graded excellent in all fields.
IIT DELHI THESIS
Title - Dye removal from water using spiral wound nanofiltration membrane module
Supervisor - Prof. S.K. Gupta
Description -The project deals with the performance evaluation of the membrane module for different types of
dyes. The dyes used are Azo (Acid Orange 10) and Reactive (Reactive blue 4) dye. Membrane
parameter estimation and model validation is also done.

PROJECTS
CFD simulation of Stirred Tank Vessel (Jan, 2013 - Apr, 2013) : Liquid-Solid dispersed phase Euler-Euler
simulation of stirred vessel was done with a six blade stirrer in Ansys Fluent. Different density material were used
and the bed suspension was studied. Torque was calculated.
Natural Gas conversion to Hydrocarbon liquids (Jan, 2013 - Apr, 2013) : The project was mainly based on the
Aspen-HYSYS simulation of the process of converting natural gas into a desired hydrocarbon liquid. Fischer
Tropsch process was studied alongwith the different types of catalysts that can be used.
Membrane Technology for Radioactive wastes (Aug, 2012 - Nov, 2012) : The project was a brief study about
the success of membrane technology in removal of radioactive wastes. A comparative study of removal of
different wastes was done as a part of the project.
Design of a Packed Bed Reactor (Aug, 2011 - Nov, 2011) : The project was as part of my B.Tech project. The
reactor was an ammonia reforming reactor in which steam-methane reforming takes place.
