The Companions in the eyes of the Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt

Compassionate Among Themselves

Towards True Islamic Unity Based upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His
Messenger

Alhumdulillah Indeed, all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him and seek His help and
forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from our souls’ evils and our wrong doings. He whom
Allah guides, No one can misguide and He whom He misguides No one can guide.

I bear wtness that there is no (True) God except Allah – Alone without any partners. And I
bear witness that Muhammad (SAWWS) is His ‘abd (Servant) and Messenger.
Authentic Shia narrations aprove that the members of ahlalbayt cursed their claimants (shia Rafidha) for
cursing the Sahaba (especially Omar bin al-Khattab and Abu Bakr al-Saddiq radhiallaho'anhoma)

It is propagated by the CLAIMANTS of Aal Al Bait (12er Shias) that the Ahl Al Bait hated and believed
in the apostasy of the vast majority of Sahaba in general (al-‘Iyazubillah) and particulary Abu Bakr and
Omar [may Allah be pleased with them both]. They propagate hate and enmity between those whom the
Prophet [s.a.s] raised for over 23 years and the blessed Household of him. We Ahl Al Sunna believe in the
love between the Ahl Al Bait and the Sahaba and we will prove it with Shia narrations, since in our Books
are filled with the love between them.

Dear reader, seeking to know causes of dissention among the Ummah and finding
solutions to them are a recommended Islaamic goal. The matter I am going to discuss
here is a great issue whose impacts really trouble the Ummah. I am therefore going to
discuss only mutual compassion that existed among the Companions of the Prophet,
sallallaahu alayhi wasallam – those of them who are members of his household and those
who are not. In spite of conflicts that took place among the Companions, they
remained compassionate with one another. This is the reality, though the story-
tellers might ignore it and some historian might fail to notice it.
This reality shall remain clear, destroying the myths and imaginations of story-
tellers which the people of desires and political motives and the enemies seized upon to
achieve their goals and create disunity and rancour among the Muslims.

Oh people of Intellect ! Know that it was an obligation of the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi
wasallam to educate and purify those who believed in him. These are the unlettered
people whom Allaah honoured with belief in Him Messenger, sallallaahu alayhi wasallam
and with being his Companions. Allaah says,
“He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad (peace be
upon him)) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them (from
the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Qur’aan,
Islaamic laws and Islaamic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders,
acts of worship of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)) And verily, they had been
before in manifest error.”1
These companions are those whom the Messenger of mercy and guidance nurtured,
purified and educated and surely Allah is not talking about an handful or about the 3-7
who did not apostated after the death of the Messenger (peace be upon him) !

Dear reader, I know that you have no doubt that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu
alayhi wasallam excellently and meticulously performed the obligation of conveying the
Message, and purifying and teaching his companions. The results of this purification are
those commendable qualities that became part of the character of his Companions.
It is enough an honour that these companions are the best community ever evolved for
mankind. Allaah says,
“You (true believers in Islaamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) and his Sunnah) are the best of peoples ever raised up for
mankind.”2

Ponder over Allaah’s word, “raised up”. Who raised them up and gave them this status?
Compare this with the saying of Allaah,
“Thus We have made you (true Muslims - real believers of Islaamic Monotheism, true
followers of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his Sunnah (legal ways)) a just
(and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger
(Muhammad (peace be upon him)) be a witness over you.”3
The verses in which Allaah described them and praised them are many. Some of their
distinguished deeds and verses relating to that have been discussed in the earlier essay,
so there is no need to repeat them here.

Some of the qualities of the Prophet’s companions

Dear reader, remember that theirs is a unique generation that outshined other
generations with distinct qualities. They attained the honour of being the Companions of
Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu alayhi wasallam. He nurtured, taught and refined them.
He fought the disbelievers with their support, and they were the ones who helped him.

Allaah says,
“Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allaah. And those who are with
him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them
bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allaah and (His) Good
Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the
traces of prostration (during prayers).”4
The establishment of the fact that the Companions of the Messenger, sallallaahu alayhi
wasallam are compassionate among themselves and that this quality of compassion is
firm-rooted in their hearts, refutes and rubbishes narrations, whims and tales that portray
them as being hostile to one another, and that enmity was the order of the day among
them!!
If it is now firmly established in your heart that the Companions are compassionate to one
another, you will have peace of mind and whatever misgiving hearts might have
harboured against those whom Allaah commanded that we should supplicate for, will be
removed. Allaah says,

Aal-Imraan 3:110
3
Al-Baqarah 2:143
4
Al-Fat’h 48:29
“And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have
preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have
believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful.”5

Dear reader, before you start judging others and hastily apportioning blames as a result
of your so-called knowledge of history, the information you inherit from your family or out
emotional feelings, pause a little bit and read the evidences that I mentioned here.
Though these evidences may look unfamiliar in spite of their clarity, simplicity and the
strength of its meanings, yet, they have practical reality. Ponder over the following verse
which is the last verse of Soorah al-Fat’h:
“Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allaah. And those who are with
him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them
bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allaah and (His) Good
Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the
traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurât (Torah). But
their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot,
then makes it strong, and then becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem,
delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allaah has
promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islaamic Monotheism,
the religion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) till the Day of Resurrection) and
do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise).”6
Allaah also says,
“And those who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have
preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have
believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful.”7
So, read the above verses and ponder over their meanings, may Allaah protect you!
Nevertheless, I remind you and myself of the following Words of Allaah:
“And if two parties or groups among the believers fall to fighting, then make peace
between them both. But if one of them outrages against the other, then fight you (all)
against the one that which outrages till it complies with the Command of Allaah. Then if it
complies, then make reconciliation between them justly, and be equitable. Verily! Allaah
loves those who are equitable. The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islaamic
religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allaah, that you may
receive mercy.”8
In these verses, Allaah affirms faith for all them, though there was an in-fighting among
them. The verses do not need any elucidation for they are clear and self-explanatory. All
of the Companions were believers, even though there was a conflict among them.
Allaah also says,
“But whoever overlooks from his brother [i.e. the killer] anything, then there should be a
suitable follow-up.”9
This verse is about premeditated murder, yet Allaah affirms the Islaamic brotherhood
between the killer and the relatives of the killed. Therefore, the heinous crime of killing,
for which Allaah prescribed a severe punishment, does not remove the killer from the fold
of faith, for he and the relatives of the one he killed are still regarded as brethren in faith.
Allaah says,
“The believers are nothing else than brothers.”10

1. Shia narrations authentic:
let us begin with one member of AhlalBayt ® Ziad ibn Ali [rahimahollah] the son of the 4th Infallible Shia
Imam.

when Rawafidh like those of today said to him : "Denounce Abu Bakr so we would follow
you." He said: "They are the companions of my grandfather. Instead, I will pledge the
allegiance to them."

They said: "Then we reject you." So they called themselves Rafidah (Rejectors) and the ones
who agreed with him and pledge the allegiance to him Zaydiyah. (look in the introduction of
Ibn Khaldoon). And their Shaikh Almjlessy in his book "The Seas" (where he mentioned 4 of
their hadeeths) also mentioned this name.

Imam Zaid ibn Ali did accept the legitimacy of the first two Khulafa not only that he
explicitly said that Instead of denouncing, he will pledge the allegiance to them .

So we ask: Was this in contradiction to what his Father (Ali ibn al Hussain) and grandfather
(Al Husain ibn Ali) and great grandfather (Ali ibn Abi Talib) did If not then reason
concludes that these 3 names mentioned above also accepted the Khilafat of Abu Bakr and
Umar as legitimate. If it was in contradiction then Imam Zaid was wrong - and if he was
wrong then what about the hadith coming from the Aimma praising him abundantly

Sobhanallah again a clear Hojja against the Rafidha !

we have prooved that imam ziyad FROM the ahl al bayt believed in the khilafa of khulafa ar
rashidoon but according to the nasibi Rafidha cult he was a rebel WHO WAS NOT aware
of the so called pillar of islam = IMAMAT.

how brainwashed they are they rather believe in majoosis like kulayni/majlisi/tusi etc non of
this devils got illm from ahlul-bayt rather they invent lies in the name of ahlulbayt.

. You say Zayd the Martyr is upon misguidance. No, by Allah, he is not the one upon
misguidance. This is not a fiqh issue in which this great man was not aware, according to
Rafidhism its a PILLAR of islam !

Zayd was a faqeeh, a shaheed in the way of Allah, and, I may add, one of the teachers of Abu
Hanifa, yet Zayd is misguided. Subhanallah.

It were the ahlelbayt like ziyad who refuted the Rafihda cult from the very beginning
and we are upon HIM !

let us move to another member of Ahlelbayt - Ayatollah

Taba'taba'i

According to ayatullaat Tabatabai and many of the other historical narratives, Imam Zaid ibn
Ali did accept the legitimacy of the first two Khulafa.

Here is the actual statement about Zayd Bin Ali, verbatim:

from:

CODE
Shi ite Islam

by Allamah Sayyid Muhammed Husayn Tabataba iState University of New York

Press,Albany 1975 translated from the Persian by Sayyid Hossein Nasr

Chapter II: Divisions within Shi ism: Zaydism and Its branches (pages 76 to 77) :

The Zaydis are the followers of Zayd al-Shahid, the son of Imam al-Sajjad. Zayd
rebelled in 121/737 against the Umayyad caliph Hisham Abd al-Malik and a group paid
allegiance to him. A battle ensued in Kufa between Zayd and the army of the caliph in which
Zayd was killed.

The followers of Zayd regard him as the fifth Imam of the Household of the Prophet.
After him his son, Yahya ibn Zayd, who rebelled against the caliph Walid ibn Yazid and was
also killed, took his place. After Yahya, Muhammed ibn Abdallah and Ibrahim ibn Abdallah,
who revolted against the Abbasid caliph Mansur al-Dawaniqi and were also killed, were
chosen as Imams.

Henceforth for some time there was disorder in Zaydi ranks until Nasir al-Utrush, a
descendant of the brother of Zayd, arose in Khurasan. Being pursued by the governmental
authorities in that region, he fled to Mazandaran (Tabaristan) whose people had not as yet
accepted Islam. After thirteen years of missionary activity in this region he brought a large
number of people into the Zaydi branch of Islam. Then in the year 301/913 with their aid he
conquered the region of Mazandaran, becoming himself Imam. For some time his descendants
continued to rule as Imams in that area.

According to Zaydi belief any descendant of Fatimah (the daughter of the Prophet)
who begins an uprising in name of defending the truth may become Imam if he is learned in
the religious sciences, ethically pure, courageous and generous. Yet for some time after
Utrush and his descendants there was no Imam who could bring about an insurrection with the
sword until recently when, about sixty years ago, Imam Yahya revolted in the Yemen, which
had been a part of the Ottoman Empire, made it independent, and began to rule there as Imam.
His descendants continued to rule in that region as Imams until very recently.

At the beginning the Zaydis, like Zayd himself, considered the first two caliphs, Abu
Bakr and Umar, as their Imams. But after a while some of them began to delete the names of
the first two caliphs from the list of Imams and placed Ali as the first Imam.
From what is known of Zaydi beliefs it can be said that in the principles of Islam (usul) they
follow a path close to that of the Mu tazilites, while in the branches of derivative institutions
of the law (furu&#65533 they apply the jurisprudence of Abu Hanifah, the founder of one of
the four Sunni schools of law. They also differ among themselves concerning certain
problems.

This is extremely problematic for the Rawafid. How can the son of the
Imam , be in so "misguided" (at least) or a "kafir" (at worst)?

This becomes even more confused when we read about Zayd from Kitab Al-Irshad by Al-
Mufid, the giant of the Imamiyya:

Among the children of Imam 'Ali Zaynul 'Abidin (a.s.), after Muhammad al-Baqir,
Zayd was the most outstanding and the most learned. Shaykh Mufid describes
him as "a devout worshipper, pious, a jurist, God-fearing and brave."
(al-Irshad, p. 403)

It is worth mentioning that he is also the first narrator of the famous

as-Sahifah as-Sajj ‫م‬diyya of Imam Zaynul 'Abidin (a.s.).

Another knot in the story, is this hadith from Zayd's father, Zain al-Abidin, from Kashf Al-
Ghummah, a Shia collection:

'Ja`far narrated from his father, Muhammad al-Baqir, that a man came to his grandfather, Zain
al-`Abidin, and said, "Tell me about Abu Bakr!" He said, "You mean as-Siddiq?" The man
said, "How do you call him as-Siddiq when he is against you, the Family of the Prophet ?"
He replied, "Woe to you. The Prophet called him as-Siddiq, and Allah accepted his title
of as-Siddiq. If
you want to come to me, keep the love of Abu
Bakr and `Umar in your heart."'

This is the achilles heel of Rafida Shiaism. The Rawafid scholars overlooked
this little paradox, in addition to many more.

If one examines the issue of Zayd further, one finds his own words about how he and his
family felt about Abu Bakr and Umar:

"I have never heard any of my family dissociate himself from them, and I have nothing but
good to say about them." from Tarikh al-Madhahib al-Islamiyyah, Muhammad Abu Zahrah,
p. 613
last but not least let us move to the "infallible" Shia Rafidha a'imma Ali ibn
Abi Talib ® & al Sajjad - Zayn al Abideen ® (4 th imam)

Ali ibn Abi Talib ®

remembering the blessed companions

Sermon: 97 (Nahj Al Balaghah)

''I have seen the companions of the Prophet but I do not find anyone resembling them.
They began the day with dust on the hair and face (in hardship of life) and passed the night in
prostration and standing in prayers. Sometimes they put down their foreheads and sometimes
their cheeks. With the recollection of their resurrection it seemed as though they stood on live
coal. It seemed that in between their eyes there were signs like knees of goats, resulting from
long prostrations. When Allah was mentioned their eyes flowed freely till their shirt collars
were drenched. They trembled for fear of punishment and hope of reward as the tree trembles
on the day of stormy wind.
''
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now read Ali's complain against those who claims followin him:

'' called you for war but you did not come. I warned you but you did not listen. I called you
secretly as well as openly, but you did not respond. I gave you sincere counsel, but you did
not accept it. Are you present like the absent, and slaves like masters? I recite before you
points of wisdom but you turn away from them, and I advise you with far reaching advice but
you disperse away from it. I rouse you for jihad against the people of revolt but before I come
to the end of my speech, I see you disperse like the sons of Saba. You return to your places
and deceive one another by your counsel. I straighten you in the morning but you are back to
me in the evening as curved as the back of a bow. The sraightener has become weary while
those to be straightened have become incorrigible.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How right u are Ali, I wish u were alive to see the same cowardness by the Rafidha of today

more than that ali ® with his humbleness never said that he is better than
the other Khulafa !

Abdul Razaq Al-Sanani, a prominent Shia scholar as declared by Al-Khoei in his book,
said: “My breast was never open to say that Ali is better than Abu Bakr and Umar, so May
Allah have mercy on them , and may Allah have mercy on Uthman and Ali. The one who
does not like them then he is not a believer. The firmest of my actions is my love to them”. He
also said: “ I say that the two sheikhs (i.e Abu Bakr and Omar) are better [b]because Ali
made them better than himself. It is sufficient shame for me to be different than Ali .”[/b]

He is referring to Ali’s famous statement on the minbar of Kufa: “The best of this
Ummah after its Prophet is Abu Bakr and then Umar”, which was reported by [b]21
Shia men: [/b]

Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Abdu Khair, Abu Juhaifa Wahb Al-Sewai, Al-Nazal Ibn
Sabura, Abu Al-Ja’d, Amr Ibn Huraith , Alqama Ibn Qais, Abu Mijlaz, Abdullah Ibn
Salamah, Saed Ibn Qaes Al-khariqi, Abdullah Ibn Zurair Al-Qhafiqi, Al-Hakam Ibn Hajk, Zur
Ibn Hubaish, Suwaid Ibn Ghafla, Amr Ibn Madikarib, Al-Harith, Ali Ibn Rabea Al-Walibi,
Masada Al-Bujali, Abu Kathir, Abu Ishaq Al-Sabei, Amr Ibn Shurahabil [Bukhari , Ahmed,
Ibn Abi Asim , Ibn Abi Shaiba, Ibn Asakir and others]

One cannot deny such a mutawattir narration and claim that all 21 narrators were liars.
It is both illogical and impossible that 21 Shia men would all agree to lie and fabricate
this narration in the name of Ali ®

Al-Sajjad - Zayn al Abideen ® (4 th imam)

Contrary to what the Rafidha Shias suggest , Ali bin Al-Hussain the book Sahifeye Sajjadia
(which is considered as a very reliable book by Zaidi and Imami Shia scholars) advises us to
learn our religion from the companions of the prophet (which we believe quite ironically is
exactly what the SunnahMuslims are trying to do)

Imam Sajjad (zayn al 'Abideen) rahimahollah says in Sahifeye Sajjadia, prayer #4,(note
Sahifa Sajjadya is considered as the most reliable and important religious text after the
Qur’an and):

Shia Source: http://al-islam.org/sahifa/dua4.html

According to this book, the 4th Imam of Imami Shia used to pray with these
words:
O God, and give to those who have done well in following the Companions, who say, Our
Lord, forgive us and our brothers who went before us in faith (Al-Qur'an 59: 10) thy best
reward; those who went straight to the Companions' road, sought out their course, and
proceeded in their manner. No doubt concerning their sure insight diverted them and no
uncertainty shook them from following in their tracks and being led by the guidance of their
light. As their assistants and supporters, they professed their religion, gained guidance
through their guidance, came to agreement with them, and never accused them in what
they passed on to them."(Sahifeye Sajjadia - 4th Prayer)[5]

ALLAHO AKBAR HOW CLEAR IT IS MAY ALLAH BE SATISFIED WITH ALI Bin
ALHUSSaIN (Zayn al abideen)

since always Rafidha claim that they follow the ahlelbayt and we the sahaba (which is a
ridicolous statement since the ahlelbayt are sahaba aswell)

So know u people of intellect ! which one do you think is a better follower of Imam Sajjad
(4th shia imam) in terms of going straight to the Companion's road, sought out their course,
and proceeded in their manner. being led by theguidance of their light. gained guidance
through their guidance? Which one do you think is doing what Imam Sajjad
No doubt concerning their sure insight diverted them ...and never accused them in what they
passed on to them . and is not this whole thing in direct conflict... with the theory of Imamah
in terms of who sould be our primary source of Islam (Shia Imams or Sahaba?)

again a hojja was made upon them from their very own imam

Let us Proceed AND YA SHIA WAKE UP and read the following hadith from
Kashfolqumah and see who is cursed by your Imam, the three Sahabah of the holy prophet or
those who curse them .

"Then some people from Iraq entered upon him (Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abideen Ali bin Al-
Hussain) and said some bad things about Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman.
When they were done, Ali bin Al-Hussain told them, 'Tell me, Are you the (Muhajirs, those
who were expelled from their homes and their property, while seeking Grace from Allah and
(His) Good Pleasure, and aiding Allah and His Messenger: such are indeed the sincere ones)?
They answered, 'No!'
Then Ali bin Al-Hussain said, 'So, are you (those who, before them, had homes (in Medina)
and had adopted the Faith, show their affection to such as came to them for refuge, and
entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the (latter), but give them preference over
themselves, even though poverty was their (own lot))?' They answered, 'No!'
Ali bin Al-Hussain said, 'Therefore, you disassociated yourselves from being one of these
two groups and I bear witness that you are not the ones

(who came after them say: "Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into
the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have
believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.") Get out of here,
may Allah curse you!" [Kashfolqumah -Shia book - vol. 2, p. 291, under the subtitle of
"Virtues of Al-Imam Zayn Al-Abideen"]

YA SHIA I suggest something read the following verse that your Imam is referred to in the
above hadith. Read it as a dhikr (it's Quran so it won't harm you) and think about it and by
reading the two verses before it try to realise its link with Sahabah like Abubakr, Omar and
Othman:

"Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in
our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art
indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.")

Ziad ibn Ali and the "infallible" 4th shia imam Zain Ul Abideen (all from ahl albayt)
accepted the Khilafat of Abu Bakr, Uthman, and Umar - and the answer is "Everyone
knows that those three held the office of caliphate, but not one of the Ithna Asheri
Imams ever *ever* gave bayat to them".

don’t dare to accuse the brave Imam Zayn Al Abidin of Taqiyya it doesn’t make sense to
attribute all these to Taqiyya, since , no one asks his opinion but he interferes himself and
condemned their attitude with a very strong Q.A. approach as you can read from the first post
in this thread.
If it was only Taqyah then why the Imam interfered at the first place and also he could just
say 'don't say this', why he went to that strong Q.A argument and at the end suggested that the
poeple who are talking ill about Shaykhayn are among none of the three categories that are
praised by Allah?
the Imam himself referred to Abubakr without any one asking him and he shows a great
emotional reflection upon talking about Abubakr and he insisted that he is Seddiq three times
and talks very strongly against those who condemn Abubakr . To think that in
this occasion Imam was only doing taqyah (with all due respect and God forbiden) makes an
image of an actor from Imam who goes any distance to save his life. May God forbiden.

To me this does not make sense. Taqyah means to reflect in a way that your enemy does
not find any thing that could harm you based on that. Taqyah does not mean volunteerly
talking against your belief (when no one has asked you to talk) with the strongest possible
words as well as great emotional behaviour.
I Therefore disagree with the simple approach of attributing all of the ahadith that are
not inline with the current Shia belief to the concept of Taqyah.

after this there is no wonder that the claimants of ahlalbayt the 12er Shia
(Rafidha) were condemned by no one else than the AhlalBayt themselves:

Ja‘far is reported to have said:

No one bears us greater hatred than those who claim to love us.8

Imâm Ja‘far is also reported as having said:

No verse did Allâh reveal in connection with the Munâfiqîn, except that it is to be found in
those who profess Shî‘ism.9

Before Sayyidunâ Husayn, his elder brother Sayyidunâ Hasan was the victim of the
treacherousness of the Kûfans. In his book al-Ihtijâj the prominent Shî‘î author Abû Mansûr
at-Tabarsî has preserved the following remark of Sayyidunâ Hasan:

By Allâh, I think Mu‘âwiyah would be better for me than these people who claim that they
are my Shî‘ah.10

0When Sayyidunâ Hasan eventually became exasperated at the fickleness of his so-called
Shî‘ah, he decided to make peace with Mu‘âwiyah. When someone protested to him that he
was bringing humiliation upon the Shî‘ah by concluding peace with Mu‘âwiyah, he
responded by saying:

By Allâh, I handed over power to him for no reason other than the fact that I could not find
any supporters. Had I found supporters I would have fought him day and night until Allâh
decides between us. But I know the people of Kûfah. I have experience of them. The bad ones
of them are no good to me. They have no loyalty, nor any integrity in word or deed. They are
in disagreement. They claim that their hearts are with us, but their swords are drawn against
us.1

Imâm Mûsâ al-Kâzim, the son of Imâm Ja‘far, and the seventh of the supposed Imâms of the
Shî‘ah, describes them in the following words:

If I had to truly distinguish my Shî‘ah I would find them nothing other than pretenders. If I
had to put them to the test I would only find them to be apostates. If I were to scrutinise them
I would be left with only one in a thousand. Were I to sift them thoroughly I would be left
with only the handful that is truly mine. They have been sitting on cushions all along, saying:
" We are the Shî‘ah of ‘Alî." 11

THIS IS THE PATH OF AHLELBAYT ® This is what the
