Review:
Thanks to Germany participants that had an art workshop and this second partnership
meeting to organise within a few months! Good work! Thanks to Gerwin who did a lot of work
for the art workshop!
Katherina from EU Commission contacted Brendan and asked about the possibility of filming
pupils of St Michael's school working on aspects of Global Citizenship. That means that our
project has come to their attention.
Calendar: we have finished the work, and we are proud! Different themes, three pages from
each school, it worked out well. Remember to send a copy of the calendar to your agencies
and the eTwinning office because we have two pages dedicated to the promotion of
Erasmus+ and eTwinning. Congratulations to everyone , and especially to Carlos. Thank you
for all work with the publication! Make the calendar become visible and alive. We'll officially
launch the calendar tomorrow at the Ernst Hansen school. This calendar is an important part
of our dissemination process.
Website: www.gcstepseu.com, our website has now the art blog on the website. Put in
more, upload more information, talk about the website on your conferences, give the staff
your username and password to have the right to edit/upload on Weebly. Important: the web
site is for everyone. Upload! Dont forget to upload at Twinspace as well.
Art workshop in Bielefeld in February: all countries gave good reports from the members
that took part. Mini-art-workshop will be held in Portugal for teachers in Tomar. It is a good
practice to build some aspect of training to these meetings.
Crocus project: different work has been done in our schools, studied more, poetry, reading
books, photos taken from the crocus plants etc. Brendan was invited by the organization
HETI, the ones that started the crocus project, to attend the Holocaust Memorial Service in
the Mansion House, Dublin on January the 27th. In Portugal they built a wooden bed in the

shape of a yellow star and will plant crocus there later on. Germany had too much work with
moving to another school but will join next year.
The Logo of the project: Congratulation to Greece who got most votes among all children.
The logo is important symbol of the project.
Vimeo is for uploading videos and to embed them to eTwinning and our website.

The Scratch workshop will be in June 1st-6th. The course will take part in Galway
education centre and start on Monday the 1st, at about 16 p.m. Flight back home will be on
the 6th of June. There will be one Cultural Day. Send names and arrival times of participants
to Brendan. A twin room costs 105 and a single room 95. Brendan will check the price for
bed and breakfast and send it to us.
Europe Day May 5th gives a possibility for our countries to collaborate and to celebrate the
day. We discussed different items such as breakfast, hymn, meals, a message to be send,
etc. Let it be mandatory for us to collaborate that day! We decided to send a message about
the importance of Europe in each national language on May the 5th. Messages should take
1-3 minutes and begin this is the Europe day, we are celebrating....., our message is.
These messages should be pre-recorded on video and uploaded to Vimeo.
Evaluation report - Eva and Marita will compile a questionnaire to be circulated before the
Thessaloniki meeting. It will contain closed and opened questions. It will help us to monitor
and understand how the project is working, and how we might adapt or change to further
improve the project.
Mobility tool. Available for KA1 but not yet for KA2. Maybe June.
Nature trail: each country will decide their theme, 5-8 items, tree, birds, whats in a river etc.
Experience from Ireland is that people got interested when they noticed the Irish trail.
Brendan showed us a copy how it can look like. A small text to each photo and eventually
add a questions. Make a local online nature trail for your country before the meeting in
Thessaloniki. Then we can discuss how develop an online collaborative nature trail.
A common newsletter: This set of newsletters will highlight aspects of our four modules of
work. The first one about our the Environment and sustainability. Each country will send
Nikos 2-3 articles and a few photos. He will then make the Newsletter. One page per country.
It will be published at the end of May. Later on we will create more newsletters about the
three other topics.
Music for the Project - the Swedish music teacher plans to compose the music to a chorus
with words in English and the music for the verse. All countries will make their own "four"

lyric lines in their native language. How to learn the melody? We can use Vimeo. The Music
is supposed to be delivered before the meeting in Thessaloniki (12 of May)
Germany has already had a Europe project week with different topics that the pupils will
show us tomorrow after the performances of the pupils.
Spain: showed their work about sustainability
Maria: suggests that all show some of their work Thessaloniki
Collaborative online book is discussed. How will we work? In Tomar in November, Carlos
makes a schedule of work. Drafts ready for Barcelona meeting in April , 2016 and finished by
Stockholm meeting in May 2016. At the meeting in Stockholm we will have the presentation
of the book! The kids write their experience of a certain aspect about the project. We bring it
up again in May. We might bring examples with us until next meeting.
A strong recommendation from Brendan: Upload all work, both to eTwinning and our website
so that pupils, and the agencies in our countries can follow and see our work.
