A Review of the Regular Board Meeting
March 12, 2015
7:00 p.m.
Bellbrook Sugarcreek Board of Education
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Dennis Eck.
Roll Call was taken with board members Jeff Bennett, Elizabeth Betz, Dennis Eck, Mary
Frantz and Kathy Kingston present.
The Board heard a report or acted upon the following:

Approved minutes from the regular meeting of February 12, 2015.

Approved the Treasurers Report for the month of February 2015.

A Public hearing was held to consider the rehire of Kenneth Moore as districtwide
Coordinator of Technology effective with the 2015-2016 school year.

President Dennis Eck presented certificates to board member Kathy Kingston honoring
her ten-year service award by the Ohio School Boards Association and to
Superintendent Keith St.Pierre for being named the OSBA Southwest Ohio Region
Outstanding Superintendent of the Year.

Accepted a spring supplemental duty resignation from Emily Folino-Williams.

Approved supplemental duty contracts for the 2014-2015 school year.

Approved substitute support staff for the 2014-2015 school year.

Accepted a resignation from Special Needs Assistant Diane Bechtel effective May 30,
2015.

Accepted a resignation for the purpose of full SERS retirement from Secretary Jeanne
Frederick effective June 30, 2015.

Approved revisions to Board Policy #5517.01 Harassment, Intimidation, Bullying or

Dating Violence.

Approved Administrative Guidelines regarding Emergency Epinephrine Auto-Injectors

(Epi-Pens).

Approved an agreement for supplemental services with the Greene County Educational
Service Center for the 2015-2016 school year.

Approved modifications to the 2014-2015 districtwide school calendar eliminating all

Wednesday one-hour early dismissals for the months of April and May 2015 due to time
missed for excessive calamity days and state-mandated testing.

Approved out of state travel for the following: HS Foreign Language students to France,
Summer 2016 and Sash Taylor to Seattle Washington in late March to attend the 2015
SHAPE America Conference.

Reviewed the results of the recent Community Survey.

A discussion was held regarding the upcoming replacement levy on May 5, 2015.

Mrs. Kingston presented a legislative update.

The board passed a resolution requesting the Ohio General Assembly to radically and
comprehensively change State law to ensure total academic and financial accountability
for Ohio Charter/Community Schools.
