other materials such as gases and Oust. The diameter of our galaxy is so fast as the speed
of light (about three million per second), it would take you a hundred thousand years to
cross it. How many kilometers is that ? Well, since light travels about nine and half
trillion (million) kilometers in a year, multiply that by 100.000 yard, you have the
answer: our galaxy the Milky Way, is about 950 quadrillion kilometers in diameter. (A
