Project- I:

National Internet Backbone Phase I

Mpls based IP infrastructure which deals with all routers , switches and related Servers for
controlling, monitoring.
Following are major features of the project:
Cisco 12416, 12410 routers and existing Juniper M40e , M320 series routers are used to build the backbone core
network connected with STM-16 and STM-1 links. Cisco 7613 routers and existing Juniper M40 and M40e ,M320
Series routers are deployed as Provider Edge routers with Gigabit Ethernet links connection to Provider routers.
Interior Gateway Protocols used is OSPF based on single Area (Area 0) model which would offer scalability, reliability
& redundant architecture increasing efficiencies in the dynamics of the carrier grade IP Network of BSNL.
Roles and Responsibilities

Network Administration and Troubleshooting Network Problems.

Implementation of VPN networks for corporate Customers.

Attending customer calls related to networking as well as systems side.

Troubleshooting of hardware problems.
Providing LAN / WAN support for the Customer Network.

National Internet Backbone Phase II

The BSNL NIB-II Project-I Network is primarily designed to be a Carrier Class High Speed IP/MPLS backbone
infrastructure for Internet Services (NIB- II Project 2.2 i.e. Broadband Access and NIB-II Project-2.1 Narrowband Access)
and MPLS VPN services to corporate customers.
Roles and Responsibilities

Involved in VLAN & IP subnet planning, designing & implementation of scalable and efficient Broadband network in
Bangalore.
Configured DSLAM MA5300 & MA5105 for different locations in Bangalore.
Configured BRAS MA5200G-8 for entire network in Bangalore.
